POSITION SUMMARY:


This role is pivotal to the success and growth of Zoetis. This position is integral in shaping the strategic direction of Commercial ERP solutions, ensuring they align with the company's overall business objectives and growth ambitions as well as running efficient day to day business operations. By acting as a bridge between executive stakeholders and the technical team, the Senior Product Leader ensures that the product strategy and road-map are executed efficiently and effectively, delivering high-quality, compliant, and validated solutions that enhance business operations. Additionally, your leadership in managing the budget, fostering team development, and driving innovation within the Commercial space is crucial for maintaining financial control, operational efficiency, and a competitive edge in the market. This role not only optimizes current processes but also anticipates future needs, unlocking value and supporting Zoetis' mission to improve animal health and well-being.


As a senior leader, it will be your role to build a world class team capable of delivering the global ambition for our Commercial operations.  This includes the leadership of the Commercial SAP team globally, staff development, and fostering a collaborative work environment of experts across your domain.  Within this, you will be accountable for delivery of the overall staffing models to deliver against the overall souring model for Zoetis Digital and Tech to include both internal roles, use of external third party consultants and management of third party service providers as part of your extended team.


The Senior Product Director, Commercial ERP will be a key member of the ERP Leadership Team and help set direction for the use of ERP solutions to meet the company's growth ambitions.  You will be expected to significantly contribute to the strategic vision and operational excellent of our business.  This entails not only leading your team but participating in high-level decision making proceses that will help shape the future of Zoetis.  This will be done through collaboration across senior leaders in our business to ensure ERP initiatives are aligned with the company's broader goals and objectives.  You will be expected to champion cross function collaboration along with championing best practices promoting transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.         

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the primary liaison between ZTD and executive leaders, ensuring alignment of SAP initiatives with business objectives.  This requires detailed understanding of the Commercial ambitions, including Sales and Rebates across all lines of business. Facilitate regular updates and strategic discussions with senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.         

  • Develop a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for all ERP Commercial products, aligning with Zoetis' overall business strategy and goals.

  • Identify market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform and shape the product vision.

  • Ensure the roadmap includes the integration of specific SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) Module.  Sales order management, pricing and billing, shipping and transportation, credit and risk management, and customer data entry, Vistex for rebates, SAP CRM for Sales Force automation, customer service management and Marketing campaign management.  This role will also be accountable for all SAP S/4HANA Commercial components as part of the NextGen ERP Program.    

  •  Lead the execution of the SAP Commercial strategy, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of projects.

  • Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to post-implementation support.

  • Ensure solutions are compliant with regulatory requirements and validated according to industry standards.

  • Ensure all financial controls and compliance measures are met within the SAP environment.

  • Ensure collaboration and integration with the Commercial delivery organization for effective use of the SAP Hybris platforms.         

  • Implement and manage DevOps practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the SAP Commercial function.

  • Ensure the stability, scalability, and security of the SAP Commercial systems & processes through continuous monitoring and improvement.

  • Implement automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for SAP O2C modules.         

  • Develop and manage the budget for the SAP Commercial products, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.  Continuously identify opportunity to reduce the cost of change in our environment.

  • Track financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Ensure financial controls are maintained and align with Zoetis' financial policies and procedures.         

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the SAP O2C function, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the SAP O2C operations.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of SAP O2C professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and create individual development plans for team members.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership qualities, setting a positive example for the team through ethical behavior, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and respect within the team and across the organization.

  • Ensure team members have the necessary skills, training, and resources to succeed in their roles.         

  • Design innovative solutions to address business needs and unlock value within Zoetis' commercial operations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are integrated, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

  • Leverage SAP's capabilities, including Vistex, to enhance operational efficiency and cost savings.         

  • Serve as a key member of the ERP Leadership Team, contributing to the strategic direction and governance of ERP solutions at Zoetis.

  • Help set the direction for the use of ERP solutions to meet the company's growth ambitions, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.         


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:        

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a senior product management role focused on SAP Order to Cash systems implementation.

  • Proven experience in managing executive stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing product strategies and roadmaps.

  • Experience delivering compliant and validated solutions in regulated industries.

  • Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.         


TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
   
Technical Skills:

  • Deep understanding of SAP O2C modules (SAP SD, MM) and related SAP solutions (Vistex, FICO and SAP S/4HANA) with 15 years of proven experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices and tools.

  • Experience with budgeting and financial management for IT projects.

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and financial controls in the SAP environment.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.         


PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
This role will require occasional weekend working to meet customer needs for minimizing business impact of change.  Expected travel between 20-50% for this role depending upon project demands.         
         

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $234,000 to $336,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the base pay target range for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This position is also eligible for short-term incentive compensation.

This position is also eligible for long-term incentives.
