Digital Consultants is seeking a qualified HBSS Administrator to support the Cybersecurity operations for US Army North, located at Fort Sam Houston, a US Army post in San Antonio, TX.
Job Duties:
- Administer endpoint security tools including ACAS, MDE, and other host-based security platforms to ensure enterprise-wide protection.
- Perform routine and ad-hoc vulnerability scans, analyze results, identify risk areas, and collaborate with Tier 3 technical teams to implement corrective actions.
- Generate weekly vulnerability briefs and maintain continuous monitoring reporting for leadership.
- Maintain host security compliance with DISA STIGs, ARCYBER CTOs, and IAVM directives.
- Serve as a SIEM administrator (Elastic/Tychon and Kibana Elastic Defend), configuring dashboards, running queries, and escalating events requiring response.
- Support the RMF process using eMASS, including artifacts, documentation, POA&M entries, and continual assessment of system controls.
- Provide cybersecurity incident response, including after-hours emergencies within 2 hours of notification.
- Assist in processing SAARs and PKI Trusted Agent duties to ensure user access is provisioned within required timelines (100% within 5 workdays).
- Support ARNORTH readiness for CORA inspections, ensuring systems maintain enterprise compliance across all cybersecurity domains.
Requirements
- Clearance: Active SECRET clearance
- Certification: DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CYSA+, GSEC, etc.) required at start of performance.
- Experience administering or supporting ACAS, HBSS-equivalent tools, or enterprise endpoint protection systems.
- Familiarity with DISA STIGs, IAVM processes, and vulnerability remediation workflows.
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Elastic).
- Understanding of Windows and Linux system administration in enterprise environments.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and incident triage skills.
Performance Expectations - Respond to cybersecurity emergencies within 2 hours when on call.
- Contribute to maintaining 95%+ IAVA compliance across systems via ACAS and reporting tools.
- Produce accurate and timely cybersecurity reports, briefings, and documentation.
- Support ARNORTH's continuous monitoring and accreditation requirements with high reliability.
