Responsibilities
- Lead the team in developing new products, including hardware circuits and mechanical components.
- Lead the manufacturing team in optimizing the production process and developing new testing protocols.
- Manage the schedules for new product development.
- Lead efforts to transition products from design to mass production, including the development and implementation of robust testing processes that meet all compliance and reliability requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues during production and implement continuous improvements.
- Manage product documentation, including yield enhancement, Bill of Materials (BOM) and production release documents.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives, including yield enhancement, test-time reduction, and package optimization.
- Support customer audits and failure analysis (FA).
- Work closely with contract manufacturers to ensure product designs are executed with attention to quality and precision.
- Oversee quality assurance processes during mass production to maintain and enhance product yield rates, ensuring high standards are consistently met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- More than 10 years of experience in product design and product engineering, preferably within the IT industry.
- Experience in production processes and product validation.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and C++.
- Familiarity with compliance testing and certification including UL & CE.
- Strong professional integrity and the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with factories and team members in Asia; fluency in Mandarin is required/preferred.
