Full Job Description
Hardware Engineering Lead for Wiring Design to oversee development and execution of wiring design and build programs in a cost-effective and timely manner.

This position requires onsite work; remote/teleworking is not available.

Responsibilities and Skills
  • Provide technical oversight, mentoring and training to a team of wiring engineers.
  • Operate as a subject matter expert working closely with KTS hardware design engineers and external customers to define wiring requirements.
  • Support the full lifecycle of wiring efforts-cradle-to-grave design, build, integration, and production support.
  • Lead and collaborate on the design, build, and installation of electrical wire harnesses.
  • Work closely with Operations to ensure compliant, high-quality harness builds.
  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the Wiring Design Engineering team, including long-term capability development and future organizational needs.
  • Identify, prioritize, and implement process improvements across wiring design and production workflows.
  • Understand and apply military processes, standards, and financial requirements to ensure compliant and predictable program execution.
  • Partner closely with Operations to ensure compliant, high-quality wire harness builds.
  • Staff projects, manage team workload, and conduct workload forecasting to ensure timely program execution.
  • Support proposal development, including budgetary estimates and schedule planning.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field.
  • Five or more years of experience executing wiring design and installation programs.
  • Experience as a team or project lead.
  • Proven history of providing technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Intimate knowledge of government and commercial specifications for build and installation of wire harnesses.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance, for which the United States Government requires United States citizenship.
