Could you be the full-time hybrid Hardware Application Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA, US we're looking for?

You'll lead the integration of our powerful hardware products into complex transportation systems, contributing significantly to a low carbon future. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (such as Mechanical Engineers, Software Designers, and Industrialization Teams), prepare detailed documentation for our hardware subsystems, and much more."
We'll look to you for:
- Leading the interfacing of hardware products with various systems to ensure optimal functionality ,
- Implementing hardware integration and validating technical choices through various analyses ,
- Preparing detailed documentation for hardware subsystems and associated bill of materials ,
- Analyzing system architectures to ensure correct interfacing of our equipment ,
- Assisting in the testing and configuration of our equipment within larger systems ,
- Collaborating on hardware specification and architecture, in line with the hardware architect's vision ,
- Presenting technical details to customers and facilitating design review discussions ,
- Reading and designing electrical diagrams and schematics, such as cable plans and cabinet configurations ,
- Applying your knowledge of control systems and their operation to enhance system performance ,
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Mechanical Engineers, Software Designers, and Industrialization Teams) to deliver innovative solutions"

- Bachelor's degree in Science, Electronics, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or other related fields. Equivalent experience may substitute for the degree. ,
- Familiarity with train control systems within the railway/transit industry is preferred. ,
- Experience in hardware application engineering/design in accordance with common industry or government standards. ,
- Knowledge of control systems and their operation is preferred. ,
- Experience in reading and designing electrical diagrams and schematics such as cable plans and cabinet configurations. ,
- Experience in hardware integration and validation. ,
- Proficiency in preparing technical documentation and conducting design reviews. ,
- Self-motivated with a passion for technical matters and a quick learner. ,
- Team player with a collaborative mindset. ,
- Travel may be up to 10% on an annual basis.
