Job Description
The Department of Radiation Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota is seeking an academic radiation oncologist with expertise in gynecologic malignancies to join our exceptional team. Our collaborative multidisciplinary team is one of the premier teams in the nation dedicated to the care of patients with complex gynecologic malignancies. The radiation oncologist will be expected to utilize all relevant radiation modalities for the disease site including 3DCRT, IMRT, SBRT, brachytherapy, adaptive radiotherapy, intraoperative radiotherapy, and proton beam therapy. Demonstrated expertise in gynecologic HDR brachytherapy is required. Candidates should have exceptional clinical competency, strong interest in clinical and/or translational research, and commitment to mentoring and educating medical students, residents, and fellows.
The Mayo Clinic Department of Radiation Oncology in Rochester, Minnesota is a leading center for innovation and excellence in patient care, consisting of over 40 board-certified physicians providing care to a rich patient mix of regional, national, and international patients. Over 4,000 patients are treated within the department annually. A wide diversity of treatment modalities are available, including six LINACs, a four gantry proton center (with another 2 gantries set to open in 2027), brachytherapy, SRS, SBRT, adapative radiotherapy, intraoperative radiotherapy, and Gamma Knife. The department has a fully accredited residency program with 12 medical residents. There is also a robust clinical trials infrastructure within the department to support investigator initiated clinical trials as well as translational research opportunities.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). Eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota.
