Responsibilities

  • Perform consultations and evaluations of patients
  • Recommend and perform surgical procedures, including minimally invasive and robotic surgery
  • Prepare and oversee patient oncology treatment plans, including chemotherapy and palliative care

  • Conduct hospital rounds on inpatients, including surgical and intensive care units
  • Communicate patient condition changes and coordinate care with the healthcare team
  • Interact with nursing staff, pharmacy, radiology, and other service lines
  • Perform history and physicals, consults, and write progress notes on inpatients

Full Job Description
Piedmont Healthcare has a great opportunity for a Fellowship trained Gynecological Oncologist to join our Oncology program and start a practice at our Piedmont Augusta Hospital facility in Augusta, GA.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, from a top tiered Fellowship program, ready to grow a practice and become part of the Piedmont Oncology Service line which currently employs 5 Gynecologic Oncologist serving patients at Piedmont Healthcare facilities throughout the state of Georgia with plans for future expansion of the specialty. Candidate must be board certified or board eligible in the specialties and committed to providing high-quality patient centered care. This is a full-time position. Fellows with outstanding references accepted.

  • Communicate patient condition changes to physician and coordinate care
  • Interact with nursing staff, pharmacy, radiology and other service lines in hospital
  • Perform H&Ps, consults, and write progress notes on inpatients
