Job Summary About the Role and Job: Job Title: Guidewire Policy Center Developer Location: Markham, ON Model: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite (Mon/ Tues/ Wed)) Job Type: Full time Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Guidewire Policy Center Developer with a strong background in Property & Casualty (P&C) Personal Lines and Guidewire Billing Center. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in software development, specifically within the insurance domain. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing solutions that enhance our Guidewire Policy Center capabilities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and implement enhancements to the Guidewire Policy Center and Billing Center.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in software development.
- Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure high quality deliverables.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing applications.
- Participate in project planning and estimation activities.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in Guidewire and the insurance industry.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Mandatory Skills: - Proven experience with Guidewire Policy Center and Billing Center.
- Strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) Personal Lines insurance products.
- Proficiency in Java and Guidewire development tools.
- Experience with integration of Guidewire with other systems.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).
Preferred Skills: - Experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and deployment.
- Understanding of data modeling and database management.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 -7 years of experience in software development, with a focus on Guidewire applications.
- Relevant certifications in Guidewire or related technologies are a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
Salary Full-time: The pay range for this role is CAD100,000 - CAD120,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
