Job Summary:
The Guidewire Architect will be responsible for designing and maintaining end-to-end technical architecture for Guidewire implementations, with a focus on cloud-native configurations, cross-module synchronization, and Property & Casualty insurance processes. The role requires deep expertise across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter, strong GOSU and Java skills, and hands-on experience with Guidewire cloud technologies, integrations, digital frameworks, and asynchronous processing.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and maintain end-to-end technical architecture for Guidewire implementations, specializing in cloud-native configurations and cross-module synchronization.
Provide architectural expertise across Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter and their cross-functional interactions.
Evaluate new Guidewire product releases and features, including Jutro digital frameworks and Advanced Analytics, and assess their business value.
Design and implement complex product model changes while ensuring they can be published without disrupting runtime environments.
Develop and oversee cloud-native implementations using Cloud APIs, Integration Gateway, and Jutro for digital frontends.
Apply Guidewire App Events, messaging, plugins, event-fired rules, and asynchronous processing patterns.
Translate technical debt, architectural tradeoffs, and complex technical concepts for Finance and Business executives.
Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to senior and junior developers.
Establish and drive architectural standards within Scrum methodologies.
Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to ensure Guidewire solutions align with business and operational requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Deep architectural knowledge of Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter, including their cross-functional interactions.
Extensive knowledge of the Property & Casualty insurance lifecycle, including underwriting rules, claims adjudication, and financial reporting.
Advanced proficiency in GOSU with a solid foundation in Java.
Hands-on experience with Guidewire cloud-native implementations, including Cloud APIs, Integration Gateway, and Jutro.
Experience managing complex Guidewire product model changes and publishing changes without disrupting runtime environments.
Strong knowledge of Guidewire App Events, messaging, plugins, event-fired rules, and asynchronous processing.
Strong experience with Guidewire BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, Integration, and PolicyCenter.
Ability to communicate complex architectural concepts, technical debt, and tradeoffs effectively to technical and business stakeholders.
Experience conducting code reviews and providing technical leadership and mentorship.
Experience working within Scrum methodologies and driving architectural standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience evaluating new Guidewire releases and emerging capabilities to determine their potential business value.
Certifications:
Guidewire Associate Certification is mandatory.
Guidewire Ace Certification is preferred.
