We are seeking an Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer who will specialize in Modeling and Simulation of complex technical solutions. This person will join a highly skilled team of systems engineering technologists and algorithm developers supporting various contracts and IRADs within Missiles and Fire Control. Modeling & Simulation Engineer tasks include:
• Design Develop and documentation of model and simulation requirements and architecture
• Develop, verify, and validate both complex models and simulations such as missile/rocket/interceptor/UAS 6-degree-of-freedom simulations (6-DOF) and effects-based simulations
• Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements
• Leverage GNC principles to design digital representations of prototype systems for performance evaluations and trade studies
• Support ground and flight test efforts including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) activities
• Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers

Basic Qualifications• Post Secondary STEM degree with 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Must be a US Citizen as an Interim Clearance is required to start.
• Candidate must have fundamental proficiency in C++
• Proficient in either MATLAB or Python
• Candidate must have demonstrated the ability to perform one or more of the following Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) or Modeling and Simulation (M&S) assignments based on completed course work or professional experience:
o Develop and analyze algorithms such as guidance, navigation, autopilot, inertial tracking, and servo control algorithms
o Develop and/or verify/validate complex vehicle models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom simulations
o Demonstrate strong math skills in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformations
Desired SkillsDesired skills :
• Proficiency with Python and Linux
• Experience with Agile development
• Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and software version control such as Git
• Strong written/verbal communication and organizational and interpersonal skills

Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $81100.00 - $150500.00
