Responsibilities
What you get to do every day:
- Manage Aurora PostgreSQL scaling and data normalization as the customer builds a petabyte-scale data lake, onboarding tens of disparate schemas today, trending toward hundreds or thousands
- Assist with security controls management as the team pursues ATO for PII-High plus additional clearance/"tickets"-type data, supporting the overextended Leidos security lead
- Coach a newly staffed, junior CI/CD team on modern Orange processes and the "build low, deliver high" approach
- Help the team extend container experience from EKS into ECS/Fargate
- Provide embedded ProServe support: direct Slack access to the AWS dev team and escalation through ProServe channels to TAMs as needed
Qualifications
Clearance Required: Active TS clearance (with SCI Eligibility) and eligibility to obtain CI Poly
Required Skills:
- All-inclusive AWS Solutions Architect profile (generalist, not a specialist)
- Hands-on Aurora / PostgreSQL experience: scaling, schema and data normalization, data-lake onboarding
- Container experience: Docker, EKS, and ECS/Fargate
- CI/CD pipeline experience with the ability to mentor a junior team
- Familiarity with security controls management and ATO processes in a DoD/IC environment (RMF, PII-High)
- On-site availability in Gaithersburg, MD with occasional travel to Springfield, VA or Herndon, VA

- The expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $175,000-$220,000. Final compensation is unique to each individual and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and contractual requirements. This is not a guarantee.
