About the Role:
The Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) Subsystems and CoreSim Team is made up of enthusiastic and talented individuals that design and produce the hardware, algorithms, and software required to solve the challenging problems of controlling spacecraft systems in a harsh, zero-g environment.
This position will report directly to the GN&C Manager within the GN&C Talent Center organization of Lockheed Martin Space
As an GN&C analyst in this role, you will be tasked with supporting multiple satellite buses including, but not limited to, the LM400 and LM2100 satellite series.
What you will be doing:
• Design, analyze, and optimize GN&C subsystem dynamics and control systems using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Develop and verify high-fidelity simulation models in MATLAB/Simulink and C++ environments.
• Support system integration, test, and verification activities to ensure subsystem performance meets program requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the program life cycle, from requirements through verification and validation.
• Contribute to mission operations and post-launch performance assessments, as needed.
Successful applicants generally have at least 1+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline, such as Aerospace Engineering or other related field.
Basic Qualifications
Skill Requirements:
• Possess general domain experience in spacecraft controller design and optimization.
• Experience in developing and verifying performance of simulation models in simulation environments using programming tools that include MATLAB/Simulink, C++
Security Clearance / Work Authorization:
• To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen.
• Although not required to start, the selected applicant must be eligible to obtain, and maintain, Top Secret with adjudicated SCI Eligibility (i.e. TS/SCI) for long term employment on this program
Desired skills
• Experience with CORESIM
• Experience with flight software development and autocode to C++ and Python
• Attitude Determination and Kalman Filter Experience
• Multi-body dynamics experience
• Familiarity with a GN&C hardware suite for space applications
• Experience going through a spacecraft program life cycle encompassing requirements generation, design, analysis, integration, verification, and testing of the GN&C subsystem for space applications including mission operations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment
• Demonstrated good communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $82,900 - $146,165. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $95,300 - $165,255. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
