Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Orion, MI on a full-time basis.

The Role:

As a leader in Supply Chain, you will be responsible for supervising and leading a team of individual contributors for one of the key areas within Supply Chain Organization: manufacturing/ warehouse operations, supply chain systems and processes, launch execution and scheduling and material management. Position will be responsible for developing new processes, standards, and leading analysis and issue resolution in support of the organization's business strategies with a direct impact on overall business results.

What You'll Do:
  • Establishes bulk and small lot CMA processes (at plant and/or offsite)
  • Establishes delivery routes and processes for bulk and small lot containers within the plant (i.e. dolly exchange, light weight and tuggable, etc.)
  • Works with 3rd party manager and sequencing suppliers on plant processes and systems requirements
  • Defines plant indirect material flow processes.
  • Oversees material flow activity (internal/external)
  • Coordinates Material suggestions (coordinates follow-up on Materials suggestions)
  • Represents the Material Department in the design of facility changes
  • Coordinates the departmental master plan and maintains timelines
  • Disseminates new model and interim change product and process information
  • Coordinates facility changes with plant engineering
  • Participates on the Plant Planning team
  • Supports the Plan For Every Part Team
  • Follows the Business Plan Deployment Process and maintains all associated documents
  • Internal Controls compliance for their functions


Required qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in Supply chain, or related experience
  • Strong analytical, computer presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Engages in daily interactions with subordinates and/or peers from other functional groups.
  • Carries out designated routine tasks, ensuring timely completion.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and material handling process.
  • Understanding in supply chain material operations.
  • Strong communication skills.


Preferred qualifications
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, GMOS, MGO.
  • Project management and launch execution experience
  • Warehouse management systems experience.
