Your New Role...

We are CNN. The world's most essential and engaging source of digital news. We are in the midst of rapid transformation and need our next generation of innovators, makers, and dreamers who will lead and drive our growth. We aim to make the world a better, more connected place.

The Growth & Subscriptions Manager will help shape some of CNN's most important growth and marketing decisions. Sitting at the intersection of growth, marketing strategy, analytics, content, and commercial strategy, this person will bring rigorous quantitative thinking and structured problem solving to questions around marketing efficiency and investment, content engagement, pricing and promotions, and subscriber economics.

This role will serve as a key strategic and analytical partner to senior Marketing leadership, developing models, frameworks, and recommendations across paid and owned-and-operated channels while working closely with Data, Research, Content Strategy, Growth Marketing, Brand Marketing, Finance, and Product.

The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor and structured problem solving with strong cross-functional skills. They are equally comfortable building a CAC/LTV or pricing model, synthesizing research and experimentation results, and translating analysis into clear recommendations for senior leaders.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Develop pricing, offer, and promotional strategies across domestic and international markets, using pricing research, elasticity analysis, competitive assessments, and scenario modeling to evaluate price changes, discounts, packaging, and other commercial levers.
  • Evaluate marketing efficiency and investment opportunities across paid and owned-and-operated channels, serving as a strategic advisor to the Head of Marketing and broader Marketing leadership on where incremental spend can generate the greatest impact.
  • Build quantitative models to support strategic decisions, including CAC/LTV analyses, subscriber and revenue scenarios, investment cases, and pricing elasticity models that connect marketing activity to long-term subscriber economics.
  • Partner with Data and Research on marketing measurement and incrementality, translating marketing mix modeling, experimentation, attribution, and consumer research into actionable recommendations and helping prioritize the marketing experimentation roadmap.
  • Connect content and marketing performance, partnering with Content Strategy to understand how investment around specific content, franchises, talent, and programming contributes to subscriber acquisition, engagement, retention, and customer value.
  • Own marketing performance reporting and strategic analysis, providing leadership with a clear view of performance, efficiency, trends, and opportunities and leading campaign and initiative post-mortems.
  • Improve marketing operations and ways of working, identifying opportunities to streamline planning, reporting, decision-making, and execution while building scalable processes and operating rhythms across pricing, promotions, measurement, and other cross-functional marketing initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience...

  • 3+ years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, growth strategy, business operations, marketing strategy, or a similarly analytical role. Experience at a top-tier management consulting firm or comparable strategy environment is strongly preferred.
  • Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills, including advanced Excel capabilities, with the ability to translate complex business questions into decision-useful analyses and recommendations. Familiarity with SQL and experience working with large datasets is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of consumer and subscription economics, including CAC, LTV, conversion, retention, churn, payback periods, and unit economics, with experience analyzing marketing performance, customer acquisition, growth, pricing, or monetization.
  • Familiarity with marketing measurement approaches including incrementality testing, marketing mix modeling, attribution, experimentation, and campaign measurement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize quantitative analysis, research, and business context into clear, executive-ready recommendations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment and work effectively across Marketing, Analytics, Research, Finance, Product, Content, and other cross-functional teams. Experience or interest in media, streaming, subscriptions, or consumer technology is preferred.
