Full Job Description

The Opportunity

AppLovin is a top-100 market cap company that is still early in its growth curve. We are building a partnership engine to scale advertiser growth. We need a deal-maker who can source, structure, and close partnerships that others can't.

You will build referral partnerships across the eCommerce world. The main focus: the super-connectors - influencers, community leaders, and agency owners who advertisers already trust and who can open many doors at once. Platform and tool deals are on the table too, but people come first. Partners earn a share of the advertiser spend they bring, so there is no set budget and no cap on what a great partnership can pay out.

This is for someone who hunts for deals, negotiates like a pro, and owns the whole lifecycle.

What You'll Do

**Deal Sourcing & Closing**

- Build your own pipeline of super-connectors: influencers, eCommerce community leaders, and agencies, plus platform deals where they fit

- Structure deals around a share of advertiser spend, with flat-rate or hybrid terms where they fit better

- Close deals yourself, from first outreach to signed contract

- Invest in your partners in person. Fly to them, take them to dinner, do whatever it takes to build a strong relationship

**Portfolio Management**

- Own a portfolio of performance-based partnerships where payouts scale with the advertiser spend each partner drives

- Double down on winners, cut losers quickly

- Build repeatable processes so winning partnership models can scale

- Track partnership ROI with clear attribution to revenue and new advertisers

What You Bring

- Deep knowledge of the eCommerce world, with a network of partners that can bring us many qualified advertisers

- A track record of closing large B2B deals across deal types (flat fee, rev share, hybrid)

- A natural networker who opens doors and knows the value of a warm intro from the right person

- Operator mindset: data-driven, focused on ROI, bias toward action

- Systems thinker: one great partner, whether an influencer, a community, or an agency, can unlock a whole ecosystem

Why This Role Matters

Every advertiser we can't reach through direct channels is a chance for a partnership to unlock. The right influencer, community, or agency tie can bring thousands of high-quality advertisers. You are not supporting growth. You are building new growth channels.

Because partners are paid on the spend they drive, your upside is not capped by a budget line. With full autonomy, you will have the freedom to make big bets.

Application Requirements:

Send us:
  1. Your resume
  2. A brief note on the biggest deal you've closed (size, structure, outcome)
  3. Your approach to building a partner pipeline from scratch in this role

About AppLovin

Applovin Corporation, doing business as AppLovin, is a mobile technology company headquartered in Palo Alto, California. Founded in 2012, it operated in stealth mode until 2014. AppLovin enables developers of all sizes to market, monetize, analyze and publish their apps through its mobile advertising, marketing, and analytics platforms MAX, AppDiscovery, and SparkLabs. AppLovin operates Lion Studios, which works with game developers to promote and publish their mobile games. AppLovin also has large investments in various mobile game publishers. In 2020, 49% of AppLovin's revenue came from businesses using its software and 51% from consumers making in-app purchases. AppLovin was founded in 2012 by Adam Foroughi, John Krystynak, and Andrew Karam. Foroughi stated that the AppLovin name came from Bloglovin', a content organizing company, contrary to reports of an homage to the Christopher Mintz-Plasse character from the 2007 film, Superbad. The company operated in stealth mode until 2014, raising $4 million in financing from angel investors, Streamlined Ventures and the Webb Investment Network. Before emerging from stealth mode, AppLovin acquired customers including Opentable and Spotify. In October 2014, AppLovin purchased the German mobile ad-network, Moboqo. On September 26, 2016, it was reported that AppLovin had agreed to be acquired by the Chinese private equity firm, Orient Hontai Capital, for $1.42 billion; the acquisition deal was subsequently abandoned for debt investment after opposition to the plans from CFIUS. The company was ranked #10 on the 2016 Deloitte Fast 500 North America list, and again in 2018. Foroughi was recognized on the 2017 San Francisco Business Times "40 Under 40" list.
