Your role and responsibilities

We're looking for a US Demand Strategist for Growth Marketing to drive pipeline growth for our Confluent product portfolio through high-impact omni-channel digital demand programs and targeted outbound account activation. In this role, you'll own end-to-end marketing execution for persona and product-aligned journeys localizing and personalizing campaigns for the US market, optimizing channel mix, and partnering closely with Sales and Partners to accelerate lead-to-opportunity conversion.

As a Demand Generation Professional, you will design and execute modernized demand generation strategies to deploy buyer journey narratives that address buyer needs and wants. You will integrate inbound and outbound touches to intelligently syndicate marketing content and translate responses into sales opportunities. Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Develop Strategic Campaigns: Design and execute end-to-end demand generation strategies, applying analytics to better profile, target, and retarget prospects, and deploying integrated inbound and outbound marketing tactics.
• Align Marketing Objectives: Ensure marketing objectives are strategically aligned across the buyer's journey, dynamically adapting campaigns to deliver higher quality responses and improve conversion rates.
• Drive Growth: Build marketing strategies designed to drive growth, using account- and technology-based marketing tactics, either focused across geographies or responsible for a specific geography.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work collaboratively to ensure seamless integration of marketing content and tactics, leveraging data to inform strategic decisions.
• Optimize Customer Experience: Design the full customer experience, using data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and improve customer engagement.

Success Measures (KPIs)
You'll be measured on your ability to deliver pipeline impact and conversion outcomes, including:
  • Opportunity conversion to pipeline
  • Lead velocity / lead aging and deal acceleration
  • New pipeline creation targets (across all routes, aligned products, and segments)
  • 4X next quarter pipeline build
  • FY revenue target attainment


Required education

Required technical and professional expertise

Minimum of 4-5 years of enterprise marketing experience including:

  • Demand Generation Strategy Development: Experience with designing and executing modernized demand generation strategies, deploying buyer journey narratives, and integrating inbound and outbound touches to drive sales opportunities.
  • Analytics Application: Experience in applying analytics to profile, target, and retarget prospects, and inform strategic marketing decisions.
  • Integrated Marketing Execution: Experience with deploying integrated inbound and outbound marketing tactics to deliver higher quality responses and improve conversion rates.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Experience with leveraging data to inform strategic decisions and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Paid Media, Web, Email/Automation, and Social teams to deliver campaign performance goals.
  • Experience supporting key events (virtual and F2F) by building integrated demand plans and post-event follow-up strategies to improve conversion.


Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Data Analysis Tools: Exposure to data analysis tools and technologies to analyze campaign performance, track buyer behavior, and measure response rates. Experience with sales and marketing tools such as Salesforce, AEP and Marketo preferred.
  • Content Creation Platforms: Exposure to content creation platforms to develop and distribute marketing content across various channels.
  • Geographic Marketing Strategies: Experience in developing marketing strategies focused across geographies or responsible for a specific geography, using account-based marketing tactics to drive growth.
  • Experience demonstrating usage of generative AI tools and agents to optimize demand strategy tasks.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
