Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of product management experience leading product growth and engagement strategies for consumer products.
  • Experience with product growth and user acquisition for global consumer products operating with active users.
  • Experience leading cross-functional product initiatives and mentoring product managers in an individual contributor leadership capacity, partnering with engineering, data science, UX, marketing, and business leadership.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience integrating Conversational AI / Generative AI capabilities into core consumer user journeys or navigating shifting user traffic across search and partner ecosystems.
  • Expertise in growth science, viral loops, funnel optimization, and A/B experimentation frameworks.
  • Track record of driving user acquisition and engagement across emerging markets, the Android ecosystem, and expanding consumer cohorts (e.g., younger demographics).
  • Proven success leading both 0-to-1 product innovation and 1-to-100 scaling in consumer technology.

We are seeking a Group Product Manager for User Growth to serve as the growth driver for Google Maps. You will be responsible for identifying, architecting, and scaling opportunities to expand our global reach and user engagement.

You will solve some of our most complex growth issues, building tailored strategies across iOS and Android, navigate rapid evolution of Conversational and GenAI, and unlock growth across mature and emerging markets.

The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.

The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. Responsibilities
  • Define the user growth roadmap for Google Maps, identifying opportunities to expand reach, engagement, and across global users.
  • Develop a deep understanding of user behaviors, friction points, dynamics, turning casual map visitors into daily, engaged users.
  • Formulate and execute the growth, awareness, first-time adoption, and ongoing strategies for Conversational AI experiences across Maps.
  • Lead differentiated growth strategies across iOS and Android ecosystems, optimizing high-intent acquisition loops and connected vehicle experiences.
  • Serve as the advocate for growth excellence across Geo Consumer, embedding advanced analytics, sophisticated measurement systems, robust holdout frameworks, and high product judgment for bold growth bets.
