Job Title: Group Manager - Human Resources Information Systems

Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Group Manager - Human Resources Information Systems to join our team onsite in Holland, MI.As the Group Manager - HRIS, you will lead the strategy, governance, and evolution of Haworth's HR technology landscape, influencing enterprise-wide direction and ensuring alignment with business priorities, workforce needs, and the HR operating model. The role partners across HR, IT, and business leadership to translate organizational needs into scalable system capabilities, establish clear governance and standards, and drive consistent, compliant, and user-centered solutions across the employee lifecycle. Provides global direction and influence to ensure effective utilization of HR systems (e.g., major HR platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors) while balancing standardization with regional flexibility. Leads a local team and external partners to deliver high-impact initiatives, optimize system performance, and enable a modern, efficient digital employee experience.

Required Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • Education Equivalency:
    • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Organizational Development, or related field, plus 2 years of related HR leadership, HRIS, HR operations, HR business partner, talent, total rewards, compliance, or organizational effectiveness experience.
    • If no post secondary education, 4 years of related HR leadership, HRIS, HR operations, HR business partner, talent, total rewards, compliance, or organizational effectiveness experience.

Experience
  • 10 years of related HR leadership, HRIS, HR operations, HR business partner, talent, total rewards, compliance, or organizational effectiveness experience with a Bachelor's degree or,
  • 7 years of related HR leadership, HRIS, HR operations, HR business partner, talent, total rewards, compliance, or organizational effectiveness experience with a Master's degree.
  • 5 years or more of supervisory experience.

In addition:
  • Applicants must be able to work onsite in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
  • Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 10 percent of the time.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in HR technology strategy, roadmap development, and optimization of enterprise HR platforms, including SAP SuccessFactors or comparable global HR solutions.
  • Strong experience in HR systems governance, data governance, integrations, vendor management, and collaboration with privacy and security teams to ensure compliance, audit readiness, and operational excellence.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale HR technology programs, drive change management, and enhance the digital employee experience through scalable, user-centered solutions across the employee lifecycle.
  • Track record of influencing senior stakeholders through effective executive communication, cross-functional partnership, and leadership across HR, IT, security, privacy, and business teams.
  • Experience in complex, global, matrixed organizations with mature HR technology environments, demonstrating the ability to balance global process standardization with regional business and regulatory requirements; industry experience in manufacturing, corporate shared services, or enterprise HR operations is highly valued.


Essential Functions

  • Defines and drives the HR technology strategy and roadmap, influencing global priorities and ensuring alignment with business objectives and the HR operating model.
  • Establishes and maintains governance models, standards, and decision frameworks for HR systems, data, integrations, and vendor management to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Partners with IT and enterprise stakeholders to align HR technology solutions with broader architecture, security, privacy, and integration standards.
  • Provides direction on system configuration and utilization, guiding teams on how to effectively leverage HR technologies while balancing global consistency with regional requirements.
  • Ensures strong practices related to data quality, governance, compliance, and audit readiness across jurisdictions through appropriate oversight and controls.
  • Drives simplification and optimization of HR processes across the employee lifecycle, improving usability, efficiency, and data quality through thoughtful system design.
  • Leads and influences large-scale HR technology initiatives, ensuring disciplined program execution, stakeholder alignment, and successful adoption across the organization.
  • Leads and develops the HR Technology team and manages external partners, establishing clear roles and operating models across HR Technology, COEs, HR Operations, and IT.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
  • Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
