Job Description

Hologic is seeking a Group Leader, Equipment Maintenance, responsible for implementing and maintaining an engineering change order system including product improvements, repairs, and new product release.

Day Shift

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develops and maintains preventative maintenance schedule for equipment
  • Reviews and approves preventative maintenance records and redlines department SOPs
  • Acts as Lead Mechanic and technical expert for day-to-day maintenance and ensuring all activities are completed in compliance with cGMP and Safety regulations, and GDP practices
  • Generates and maintains daily/weekly/monthly department reports
  • Generates and coordinates SCOs/NCEs and conducts investigations related to equipment maintenance, etc.
  • Mentor and train junior personnel, especially in troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and safety activities
  • Provides recommendations and insights to Supervisor
  • Perform backup activities for Maintenance Supervisor/Manager
  • May participate in FDA/ISO/QA audits
  • Works with other departments to help resolve on-going or prevent potential issues and delays
  • Represents department in meetings and projects related to equipment maintenance activities
  • Performs general departmental audits for cGMP compliance and safety regulations
  • Support new equipment installation
  • Performs scheduled and unscheduled equipment maintenance on lyophilizers, liquid fillers, labeling machines, packaging machines, water system equipment and filtration.
  • Performs advanced troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical systems on manufacturing equipment.
  • Performs installation of electrical power and pneumatic distribution hardware.
  • Interacts with vendors to solve problems, determine part costs, and purchase parts.
  • Diagnose and repair low voltage DC and AC electrical wiring/hardware
  • Maintains equipment shop tools, equipment, and organization
  • Travel between various Hologic facilities for equipment maintenance
  • Must be able to work weekends or other shifts on occasions.
  • Performs other various tasks and duties as assigned

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Experience in a GMP environment preferred

Education and Experience:
  • Typically requires High school, Trade school, or Military and 10 plus years related experience or AA and 5-year related experience or BS and 5 years related experience

The annualized base salary range for this role is $70,000 to $105,100 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand..
