General Description:

As a Group Leader at BeOne Institute, you will lead a high-performing research team to advance breakthrough discoveries. You will set and execute a forward-looking research strategy aligned with our mission, foster a collaborative environment where innovative ideas are translated into transformative medicines and explore emerging scientific approaches-including AI-enabled discovery, chemical biology, and multiomic technologies-to identify novel therapeutic opportunities and drive future pipeline innovation.

Essential Functions of the Job:
Job Responsibilities
  • Champion the evaluation and application of emerging technologies and data-driven approaches, including AI, genomics and multiomic analysis, chemical biology, and large-scale biological data analytics, to generate new biological insights and accelerate therapeutic discovery.
  • Drive scientific excellence and delivery by establishing clear program goals and milestones.
  • Communicate progress through regular updates while proactively identifying challenges and proposing solutions.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team and fostering team members' professional growth, technical expertise, and scientific independence.
  • Lead cross-disciplinary or cross-functional collaborations and drive innovation within and beyond the Institute.

Requirements
• Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent advanced degree with deep expertise in one or more of the following areas: cancer biology, cancer immunology, immunology, protein engineering, AI-driven protein design, chemical biology, computational biology, multiomic sciences or a related life sciences discipline.


  • Substantial post-degree professional experience in academia and/or industry, with a strong track record of contributions to drug discovery or impactful scientific achievements.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, and interdisciplinary research environment, and to integrate multi-disciplinary approaches to solve complex biological problems.
  • Scientific leadership to build and sustain collaborative relationships across functional and disciplinary boundaries.
  • Experience of providing scientific guidance and mentorship in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Salary Range: $236,000.00 - $295,000.00 annually
BeOne is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan. All Company employees have the opportunity to own shares of BeOne Medicines Ltd. stock because all employees are eligible for discretionary equity awards and to voluntarily participate in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
