Full Job Description
STS Government Solutions, LLC (SGS) is hiring for a Group A Electrical Engineer to support our ongoing mission at Hill Air Force Base in Utah.

What You'll Do:
  • Design F-16 on-aircraft electrical wiring and components, conduct engineering analysis to ensure compliance with F-16 standards, and document and validate installation procedures through Trial Verification Installation (TVI) and Kit Proof (KP), correcting discrepancies and managing configuration of all technical data.
  • Requirements may include parts lists, modification drawings, routing drawings, reports, and other documentation.
  • For all assigned avionics modifications, the Contractor shall design F-16 on-aircraft electrical wiring (harnesses and loose wire assemblies), and electrical components (matrix assemblies, circuit breaker panels, ethernet networks, etc.). The Contractor shall perform necessary engineering analysis to show compliance with F-16 standards (e.g. electrical loads analysis, thermal modeling, environmental qualification etc.) The Contractor shall document designs; develop installation procedures; perform Trial Verification Installation (TVI) and Kit proof (KP) using applicable documentation. During TVI and KP, the Contractor shall document discrepancies between engineering drawings, routing drawings, mechanical components, and installation procedures and make corrections to technical data as necessary. The Contractor shall maintain revision histories for source data and perform rigorous configuration management of technical data developed for the USAF. Types of requirements may include:

What You Bring:
  • BS Electronic Engineering Preferred. BS Mechanical Engineering acceptable
  • The Security Clearance Requirements: Secret, Secret SAP.
  • Research manufacturer data and datasheets for info on manufacturer parts. Review and analyze engineering data on item and application to compare part characteristics and determine requirements in using applications in support of DLA 339 or Standardization reviews. Search for alternative solutions. Under guidance of higher-level engineers:
    • Draft technical data packages including qualification and first article requirements.
    • Provide basic review of First Article Test Reports
    • Provide basic review of Source Approval Requests (SAR)
    • Identify form, fit, function, & interface (F3I) issues and draft correspondence to coordinate with using system engineers to comply with OSS&E requirements
    • Provide basic inputs for engineering investigations to determine root cause of failure and corrective actions.
