Position: Greenhouse Manager / Grower
Department: Operations / Horticulture
Wage: $70,000-$120,000 per year
Location: 43756 S Sumas Rd, Chilliwack, BC V2R 4L6

About the Opportunity

At Rainbow Greenhouses, our Greenhouse Manager / Grower plays a central role in keeping our facilities running at their best. You will lead a team of supervisors and administrators across day-to-day greenhouse operations - from plant production and quality control to fulfillment and distribution. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes ownership, moves fast, and brings energy to everything they do.

What You'll Do

Operations & Production Management
  • Oversee plant production, fulfillment, inventory management, and distribution logistics
  • Establish environmental conditions and design planting and care schedules accordingly
  • Identify and manage insect, disease, and weed problems through integrated pest management practices
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with all relevant regulations

Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and supervise staff across all greenhouse duties, including planting, transplanting, feeding, and spraying
  • Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular evaluations, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
  • Develop employees through training, mentoring, and career advancement opportunities

Process Improvement & Reporting
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to enhance productivity and reduce waste
  • Prepare regular reports on production metrics, inventory levels, and team performance for the Director of Operations/Horticulture
  • Work closely with sales and logistics teams to ensure seamless communication throughout the supply chain

What You Bring
  • Minimum a diploma specializing in Horticulture, Agri-Business Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in operations or horticulture management, preferably in a greenhouse, floriculture, or horticultural environment
  • Strong knowledge of plant cultivation, pest management, and greenhouse technologies
  • Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
  • A growth-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, living environment
  • Proficient in operational management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in Spanish is a strong asset
