What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Consultant to support the transportation grants management and modernization initiatives. This role will provide operational, compliance, documentation, and business process support to federal grants stakeholders. The successful candidate will support day-to-day grants operations, coordinate project activities, develop and maintain critical program documentation, support audit and compliance activities, and assist with the continuous improvement of grants business processes and systems. The ideal candidate combines federal grants experience, strong technical writing capabilities, organizational skills, and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical tools, guidance, and operational procedures.


Grants Operations Documentation and Process Support

  • Develop, maintain, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, templates, job aids, reference materials, and operational guidance.
  • Translate grants policies, business processes, system functionality, and compliance requirements into clear, actionable documentation.
  • Perform quality reviews of technical and operational documents to ensure consistency, accuracy, and usability.
  • Maintain document governance, version control, and configuration management processes.
  • Support development of process narratives, workflow documentation, briefing materials, and stakeholder communications.

GrantLens Sustainment and User Support

  • Review and update system-related SOPs, procedures, and supporting documentation as business processes and system functionality evolve.
  • Maintain version-controlled documentation aligned with approved releases and process changes.
  • Support business-user inquiries and issue triage activities.
  • Coordinate with business and technical teams to support issue resolution and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide support for process training sustainment activities, including updates to user guides, job aids, quick reference materials, and other system-specific training resources.

Single Audit and Compliance Support

  • Support Single Audit activities and compliance oversight efforts under 2 CFR Part 200 Subpart F.
  • Review audit findings, corrective action plans, and related documentation.
  • Track audit follow-up activities and support management decision processes.
  • Assist with compliance reviews, recipient monitoring, and risk assessment activities.
  • Support development and maintenance of audit, monitoring, and compliance procedures.
  • Analyze audit trends and identify opportunities to strengthen grants management controls and processes.

What You Will Need:


  • Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD Public Trust; Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
  • Must be a US Citizen due to nature of client engagements.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Nine (9) years of experience supporting federal grants, financial assistance, compliance, program management, or related operational programs.
  • Experience developing SOPs, operating procedures, business process documentation, training materials, or other technical documentation.
  • Strong technical writing, editing, and document quality assurance skills.
  • Knowledge of the federal grants lifecycle and Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200).
  • Experience coordinating stakeholders, facilitating meetings, and managing action items through completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to work in a Guidehouse Office or Client Office.

What Would Be Nice To Have:


  • Experience supporting Department of Transportation grants programs.
  • Experience supporting grants modernization, grants systems, or business transformation initiatives.
  • Experience developing operational procedures, governance documentation, and process improvement materials.
  • Experience with Single Audit requirements, audit follow-up activities, corrective action planning, or recipient monitoring.
  • Familiarity with the Federal Audit Clearinghouse (FAC), grants compliance activities, and federal financial assistance programs.
  • Experience supporting grants management systems and business operations.
  • CGMS, PMP, CSM, or similar professional certification.

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
