- Assess grant applications to ascertain the allowability, allocability, reasonableness and consistency of recommended costs.
- Respond to inquiries concerning grants management policies and procedures, status of individual awards, on a one-on-one basis.
- Provide communication with NIH/NIGMS Program staff and NIGMS grantees.
- Keep abreast of current and new NIH policies and procedures affecting the smooth operation of the Division of Extramural Activities, NIGMS.
- Maintain official grant file(s); prepare electronic documents (convert to "PDF" images); upload images directly into the appropriate IMPAC II eAdditions file groups.
- Interpret and apply business management policies, procedures and practices to grants related situations.
Qualifications:- Master's degree in a related discipline or a bachelor's degree with two (2) years of specialized experience.
- Minimum of six (6) years of related experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
