Key Responsibilities
As a Scrum Master, you will play a pivotal role in enabling the success of Agile software development teams by fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will act as a servant leader and coach, ensuring the effective adoption and execution of Agile and Scrum practices across the team.
- Facilitate Agile Execution: Lead and coordinate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring they are productive and outcome-driven.
- Coach and Mentor Teams: Guide Scrum Teams in Agile principles and best practices, helping them become self-organized, high-performing, and delivery-focused.
- Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and eliminate obstacles that may hinder team progress, ensuring a smooth and efficient delivery lifecycle.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and team effectiveness, and implementing best practices across teams and projects.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and shared ownership of outcomes.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down, cycle time) to provide actionable insights, improve predictability, and drive accountability
- Risk and Dependency Management: Support the identification and mitigation of risks and dependencies to maintain delivery timelines and ensure quality outcomes.
- Leadership and Decision-Making: Take ownership of team-level decisions, contribute to broader program-level decisions, and provide effective solutions to complex challenges across multiple teams.
- Agile Advocacy: Act as a champion of Agile values and Scrum practices, fostering an environment that encourages innovation, adaptability, and high team morale.
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Agile Scrum Development and Scrum practices
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks
- Bachelor's degree
The role requires 3 days a week on-site in Plano, TX. Role requires contractor time away (CTA), 5 days per quarter, as mandated by the client Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
