Project Overview:

Bechtel is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner on the Northrop Grumman team to deliver the Sentinel Program, which is modernizing the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. Bechtel's scope of service in Sentinel's current Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase focuses on the ground infrastructure component of the program.

A major contractor for the United States and allied governments, Bechtel has handled such efforts as chemical weapons demilitarization projects, missile-defense, infrastructure, base operations, procurement and project management, and restoration and recovery spanning half a century. Job Summary:

The Sentinel Project is looking for a Government Property Administrator at the Ogden, UT location. This position will report to the Materials Manager in the Supply Chain Organization. This position provides principal support to the project in the administration of the government property control program.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, which includes verification of employment and education.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Implements property management processes pertaining to acquisition, receiving, identification, records, inventories, subcontractor control, storage, movement, utilization, maintenance, reports, relief of stewardship, disposition, contract closeout.
  • Assists managers and administrators in completion of various tasks required by the Government Property Management Procedures and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and property records management systems.
  • Interfaces with property custodians to facilitate implementation of procedures and to monitor compliance with prime contract obligations, as assigned.
  • Conducts investigations and inquiries into specific government property control management areas, as assigned.
  • Drafts correspondence and assists in the preparation of periodic status reports.
  • Conducts inventories, reconciles reports and prepares reports and metrics.
  • Processes excess property for disposition including segregation, documentation and turn-in.
  • Assists with and or develops procedures, instructions, forms, and training programs
  • Maintains property record databases for uniquely identified property, summary records, subcontractor property, excess property and disposed property
  • Prepares various property reports upon request such as government inventory and government property status
  • Prepares trend analyses Participates in government property related meetings and organizes materials for the preparation of meetings, presentations and training sessions
  • May oversee and administer programs with the property control system, as assigned.
  • Assists in Item/Stock Code creation and implementation for other internal stakeholders


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Level I - Requires Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in related field and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years industry work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Levell II - Requires Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in related field and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years industry work experience in lieu of degree.


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Advance analytical and organizational skills.
  • Advance oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Applications Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Advance working knowledge of and experienced with standard asset management software applications such as Sunflower
  • Ability to lift and move equipment/material up to 25 pounds
  • Intermediate knowledge of contract types, terms and legal requirements.
  • Well experienced in tracking and control of government property
  • Advance knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 45 and 52.245-1.
