Full Job Description
EthosEnergy is seeking a NERC Compliance Manager to support its facilities' NERC compliance functions (GO, GOP). The primary responsibility of this position will be to administer and manage the EthosEnergy NERC compliance program at assigned facilities in the Northeast. The Compliance Manager will execute the duties of the position in concert with facility leadership and staff and other corporate NERC resources including the NERC Compliance Director. The Compliance Manager position will also participate and assist in corporate NERC program development and improvement activities as requested.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the EthosEnergy NERC program at assigned facilities.
  • Support O&M staff remotely and on-site in the execution of NERC related activities and compliance documentation.
  • Review executed internal compliance controls to identify and assess potential compliance issues.
  • Conduct NERC compliance reviews and internal audits to assess the compliance status of assigned facilities and the quality of NERC compliance procedures, evidence and internal controls.
  • Support the development of NERC related training and conduct training at assigned facilities.
  • Support O&M staff remotely and on-site in relation to external compliance and enforcement activities (e.g. NERC audits).
  • Interact with regulators (e.g. NERC, Regional Entities).
  • Support changes to the EthosEnergy NERC program as necessary (e.g. revisions to compliance procedures in response to internal best practice improvements and/or new or revised NERC reliability standards or other NERC program changes).
  • Support the identification and management of potential NERC compliance issues and other NERC related issues at applicable O&M facilities.
  • Perform other NERC related activities as necessary and/or assigned by the NERC Director
Required Skills / Knowledge

  • The ability to work independently and in group contexts.
  • The ability to work with technical personnel (i.e., Facility staff, contractors) and topics (i.e., Generation operations, Protection and Control, Cyber security).
  • Experience in the drafting and preparation of regulatory and/or policy documents.
Experience

  • 5-10 NERC and / or other electric industry regulatory and policy experience is preferred.
  • Strong familiarity with GO and/or GOP-applicable NERC Reliability Standards
  • Familiarity with East Coast energy markets (i.e., PJM, ISO-NE, NY-ISO) and Eastern Regional Entities (i.e., NPCC, RF)
Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (STEM preferred)

  • Ability to travel up to 25%
