The opportunity

You will help clients navigate the complex world of modern application development by leading multidisciplinary teams and advising executives on platform strategy, solution architecture, AI-native Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC), and transformation delivery. We'll look to you to translate mission and business priorities into scalable technology roadmaps, guide teams in architecting and delivering enterprise solutions, and apply AI-based delivery methods to accelerate systems from concept through production while maintaining human oversight, governance, security, quality, and traceability. This is a high-growth, high-visibility leadership opportunity with significant responsibility for client relationships, team development, delivery quality, and practice growth.

You will lead teams responsible for architecting, designing, configuring, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting enterprise platform solutions, which may include Microsoft Dynamics 365, ServiceNow, Appeon, Salesforce, or comparable technologies. Rather than serving as the primary hands-on implementer, you will set direction, make and govern key architecture decisions, remove delivery barriers, and hold teams accountable for quality, security, schedule, budget, and business outcomes.

Your key responsibilities

You'll spend most of your time leading engagement teams, shaping client strategy, architecting enterprise platform solutions, and overseeing delivery of cloud-based capabilities that address frontline mission priorities. You will champion the use of an AI-native Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) to accelerate system delivery across requirements, architecture, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and operations. You will provide executive-level guidance, establish architecture and delivery governance, coordinate functional and technical leaders, and enable teams to use AI responsibly and effectively rather than personally performing each implementation task.

Key leadership responsibilities include:

• Lead multidisciplinary teams in architecting and delivering scalable, secure, resilient, and efficient enterprise platform and cloud solutions aligned with client mission, business outcomes, and strategic goals.
• Own solution architecture and delivery direction by establishing principles, target-state designs, integration patterns, security requirements, technical standards, and governance checkpoints; review and approve key design decisions and exceptions.
• Lead the adoption and application of an AI-native Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) to accelerate system delivery by using AI-enabled methods across product requirements, solution blueprints, work decomposition, configuration and code generation, testing, documentation, deployment, and ongoing operations.
• Establish human-in-the-loop controls, architecture guardrails, quality gates, security and privacy reviews, traceability, and outcome measures so PDLC-driven acceleration improves speed and productivity without compromising accountability, maintainability, or solution quality.
• Direct functional, product, architecture, engineering, data, security, testing, and change-management leads; clarify accountabilities, align workstreams, remove barriers, and ensure teams have the resources and guidance needed to execute.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders by translating business and mission priorities into platform strategies, roadmaps, investment recommendations, and actionable delivery plans.
• Maintain executive oversight of scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, dependencies, and expected outcomes; lead governance forums, manage escalations, and communicate clear decisions and recommendations.
• Drive high-quality client service and work products within expected timeframes and budgets while managing client expectations and maintaining accountability for delivery outcomes.
• Build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams through coaching, delegation, performance management, succession planning, and a collaborative, inclusive working environment.
• Contribute to business development and practice growth by shaping opportunities, architecting proposed solutions, estimating delivery approaches, supporting proposals, and staying current on enterprise platforms, cloud, AI-native PDLC, agentic delivery, and industry trends.

Skills and attributes for success

• Experience setting priorities and balancing leadership attention across multiple enterprise platform solutions and emerging technologies, including cloud services, robotics, machine learning, and blockchain

• Demonstrated ability to lead managers, architects, engineers, analysts, and other specialists across complex, concurrent engagements
• Strong solution-architecture judgment, including the ability to evaluate options, guide trade-off decisions, and align business, data, integration, security, user experience, and operational considerations
• Ability to identify where AI-native PDLC practices can accelerate delivery, redesign team workflows, establish reusable artifacts and automation, and measure improvements in cycle time, productivity, quality, and rework
• Program and engagement management skills, including planning, financial oversight, risk management, quality assurance, executive reporting, and delivery accountability
• Executive communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations and decisions for non-technical stakeholders
• Commercial acumen and experience shaping opportunities, estimating work, supporting proposals, and building trusted client relationships

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Eligibility for DOD Secret Clearance

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• State government client experience
• Minimum of 15+ years of related experience
• Experience leading teams responsible for solution architecture, software configuration and development, workflow and process design, integration, analysis, testing, deployment, and quality assurance
• Experience architecting and overseeing enterprise application, workflow, CRM, or low-code solutions using platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, ServiceNow, Appeon, Salesforce, or comparable technologies, together with cloud-based services
• Sufficient technical depth across programming, scripting, data, integration, configuration, security, and cloud technologies to guide architects and delivery teams, challenge assumptions, assess trade-offs, and govern solution quality without serving as the primary hands-on developer
• Experience leading technology programs delivered through agile, waterfall, hybrid, or AI-native methods and adapting governance, team structure, and delivery controls to the engagement context
• Experience applying AI to accelerate delivery of production-ready systems, including requirements synthesis, product requirements documents, architecture and design artifacts, work-item decomposition, build acceleration, automated testing, documentation, release readiness, and traceability, with appropriate human review and approval
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing multidisciplinary platform delivery teams, including architects and engineering leads, with responsibility for mentoring, delegation, performance management, workload planning, and fostering a collaborative work environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills

• We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job is:
• • New York City, Boston, and Washington DC Metro Areas, Washington State, and Southern California offices - $180,500 to $390,500
  • Bay Area California offices - $188,100 to $390,500
  • All other offices locations in the US, including Sacramento - $150,400 to $343,600
• Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
