JOB SUMMARY
The GovernmentAccounts Manager is responsible for managing existing accounts, preparing bids,and growing specific business segments with Governmental and Municipal customerbases. This position is located in Irving, TX and reports to the VicePresident of Product Management.
Foster and promote a safe work environment both internallyand externally
Manage and track bid processes and documentation requestsfor key customers across bulk and packaged gas as well as other applicablebusiness lines in coordination with regional and strategic account sales teams.
Develop proposals, presentations, and pricing strategies forstrategic accounts.
Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditionsacross strategic accounts.
Develop and maintain reporting structures representative ofkey account demographics.
Act as a subject matter expert in regards to assignedAccounts to support management decisions as well as communicate Mathesonproduct strategy to the various entities and sales teams.
Drive profitable growth of the business by working with thecommercial regions, product management, logistics, distribution,transportation, finance and contract administration.
Maintain knowledge of competitive landscape in regards toassigned products including, but not limited to: competitive situation, newcapacity, market trends, and new applications.
Analysis and management of supply / demand balance ofassigned products including negotiation of long-term supply agreements to sellor purchase wholesale products.
Create, validate and maintain Strategic Sourcing Plans forapplicable accounts.
Evaluate business process opportunities and translate tofinancial terms to support investment and business case development.
Complete routine periodic and on-demand ad-hoc reports tohelp evaluate performance of cross-functional business units
Perform analyses to determine product needs, optimize supplyand recommend sourcing initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's Degree Business,Technical, and/or Sales Related Degree required
Work Experience
4-6 years Sales/AccountManagement, Industrial Gases is Preferred
1-3 years Sales/AccountManagement, Industrial Gases is Preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be computer literate and have experience in MicrosoftWord, Excel, and Outlook.
Previous account management experience is recommended
Knowledge of governmental and municipal bidding and contractprocesses is a plus.
Must be able to work in a fast paced, sometimes stressfulenvironment.

Pay Range: $80,000 to $85,000 annually
