ANSER is seeking a Staff Action Officer to serve as a Governance Program Analyst supporting an Office of the Secretary of War (OSW) client. In this role, you will support senior-level governance operations by promoting unity of effort, integrating cross-functional perspectives, and facilitating decision-making across the Department of War (DoW).
This position requires onsite work at the Mark Center five days a week.
**Day-to-Day Responsibilities**
- Provide administrative, logistical, and analytical support for governance forum planning and execution.
- Develop and maintain plans of action and milestones (POA&Ms), meeting agendas, invitations, attendance rosters, and post-meeting action tracking.
- Prepare senior leader talking points, briefings, information papers, and meeting summaries.
- Coordinate governance meeting logistics, read-ahead materials, and stakeholder attendance across internal and external DoW organizations.
- Ensure compliance with security, protocol, timeline, and other DoW requirements.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), attendee lists, and points-of-contact rosters.
- Support the scheduling, tracking, and analysis of governance meeting topics and actions.
- Track metrics, lessons learned, and process improvements related to governance forums and outcomes.
- Maintain SharePoint sites and collaboration tools supporting governance activities.
- Coordinate and manage tasks using CATMS or similar task management/planning tools.
- Provide executive-level support to senior DoW leadership as required.
- Support additional governance and administrative activities as assigned.
**Required Qualifications**
- Active Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as event planning, project management, business administration, or government. Will consider additional years of experience (4) in lieu of degree.
- 5 years of professional experience in a similar role.
- 3+ years of experience in program management, governance coordination, or executive-level support.
- 1+ year of experience supporting federal government governance boards and associated reporting requirements.
- Experience developing and coordinating tasks in CATMS or other task management and/or planning tools.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Prior experience supporting clients at the OSW level.
- Experience using Microsoft Planner.
