This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered. Work to be performed at a government customer site in Chantilly, VA.
Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities:
The Associate Director of Government Security will manage and oversee support to classified government programs and customers. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and ensuring compliance with security procedures consistent with U.S. Government security policies and regulations, managing personnel security, counterintelligence activities, physical security of program accredited facilities, and maintaining productive relationships with government agencies and corporate stakeholders. The role also provides leadership, coaching, resource planning, budget oversight, and inspection-readiness support to ensure effective security operations and successful program performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct leadership and oversight of personnel supporting government programs and customers.
- Oversee the development, implementation and compliance of program security procedures consistent with government policies and regulations.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with government agencies and corporate organizations.
- Interpret government security requirements and provide guidance and solutions that enable program execution.
- Manage and support counterintelligence programs, investigations, policies, and process development.
- Use automation to strengthen compliance with government security policies and requirements.
- Assists with and coordinates the development, implementation, and revision of security procedure manuals for classified facilities and programs.
- Recommend strategies, goals, and plans that support the successful execution of program security requirements.
- Establish positive customer partnerships that support existing contract retention and new business opportunities.
- Develop workforce and resource plans aligned with organizational objectives.
- Coach and guide security personnel through honest, constructive feedback.
- Promote employee ownership, accountability, and effective leadership throughout the organization.
- Support goals that contribute to the financial and operational success of the AT&T Government Security (AGS) organization.
- Influence broader functional objectives in alignment with overall corporate strategy.
- Achieve successful results through the supervision, development, and performance management of the AGS Team.
- Collaborate and partner with AGS leadership to develop a streamlined and effective security program.
- Manage employee training, retention, performance, and assigned budgets.
- Ensure organizational readiness for U.S. Government security program reviews and inspections.
- Provide practical security guidance that supports program activities, customer requirements, and mission performance.

Required Qualifications:
Candidate must have a combination of work and education experience. This equates to a Master's degree and 12 years
experience, a Bachelor's and 14 years or and HS diploma and 18 years.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Department of War or other U.S. Government industrial security program.
- Five years providing security support to the Intelligence Community.
- Successful completion of U.S. Government Contractor Special Security Officer training, Facility Security Officer training through the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, or comparable U.S. Government security training.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising, managing, or overseeing personnel, either directly or indirectly.
- Experience with the Intelligence Community (IC), DOW or other US Government (USG) Industrial Security programs and an in-depth knowledge of the IC, DOW or other government security regulations.
- Knowledgeable of current SCIF Construction standards, preferable with ICD 705 training.
- Experience with the development of Program Security CONOPS and OPSEC Plans.
