Full Job Description
Overview

We are seeking a Lead Digital Asset Librarian to own, evolve, and optimize our Digital Asset Management (DAM) ecosystem. While experience with Tenovos is a plus, this role is open to candidates with strong expertise across enterprise DAM platforms.

This is not a traditional librarian role. You will be responsible for defining what best-in-class DAM looks like within a complex, global production environment: Assessing current workflows, identifying gaps, and driving forward a more scalable, efficient, and future-ready operating model.

You will lead the organization, governance, and lifecycle management of all final TV, video, and digital master assets, while embedding DAM into end-to-end production and marketing workflows. Your work will directly impact speed-to-market, asset reuse, operational efficiency, and brand consistency.

This role requires a strategic, systems-oriented leader who can balance hands-on platform expertise with team leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement. You will partner closely with marketing, creative, production, technology, media, and data teams, as well as external agencies, and oversee offshore resources supporting day-to-day DAM operations.

Responsibilities

DAM Strategy, Ownership & Governance
  • Serve as the primary owner and subject matter expert for the DAM platform (Tenovos or equivalent), defining platform strategy, taxonomy, and governance frameworks
  • Evaluate current DAM architecture and workflows, identifying opportunities to improve scalability, usability, and efficiency
  • Establish and enforce global standards for metadata, taxonomy, and asset lifecycle management (versioning, rights, archiving, expiration)
  • Define and implement what "good" looks like for DAM within this organization, including future-state operating models
  • Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls to ensure compliance and security

Workflow Integration & Production Operations Impact
  • Embed DAM into end-to-end creative and production workflows, ensuring seamless asset flow from creation through distribution
  • Drive best practices that improve production speed, asset tracking, and activation readiness
  • Connect DAM structure to broader production and marketing goals, enabling more efficient content creation and reuse at scale
  • Partner with stakeholders to streamline workflows and reduce friction across teams and regions

Technology & Data Partnership
  • Act as a key partner to technology, product, and data teams, ensuring DAM integrates effectively into the broader ecosystem
  • Collaborate with Product/Platform teams and data leads to align DAM capabilities with reporting, analytics, and business needs
  • Support and enhance integrations with tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, CMS, PIM, and other marketing systems
  • Identify opportunities for automation and improved data capture across the asset lifecycle

Offshore Team Leadership
  • Lead and manage offshore DAM resources responsible for ingestion, tagging, QA, and library maintenance
  • Define workflows, SLAs, and quality standards to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Provide training, documentation, and ongoing feedback to drive performance and continuous improvement
  • Act as the bridge between onshore stakeholders and offshore teams

Content Organization & Metadata Strategy
  • Oversee asset cataloging, tagging, and metadata governance to ensure a high-quality, searchable library
  • Design and evolve metadata schemas, taxonomies, and controlled vocabularies aligned to business and campaign needs
  • Conduct audits and optimization initiatives to maintain data quality and system performance

Adoption, Enablement & Change Management
  • Lead DAM adoption across internal teams, agencies, and external partners
  • Develop and deliver training programs and documentation to drive best practices
  • Support onboarding of new users and teams into the DAM ecosystem
  • Act as a change agent, driving adoption of new workflows and ways of working

Performance, Analytics & Continuous Improvement
  • Define and track KPIs related to DAM adoption, efficiency, and asset utilization
  • Deliver reporting on usage, taxonomy performance, and workflow effectiveness
  • Continuously assess and evolve DAM capabilities in line with business needs and emerging trends
  • Proactively recommend enhancements to improve system performance and user experience

Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years of experience in Digital Asset Management, content operations, or related fields
  • Proven experience leading or owning an enterprise DAM platform (Tenovos a plus, not required)
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate, implement, and optimize DAM workflows and systems
  • Experience integrating DAM into creative, production, and marketing operations
  • Strong expertise in metadata strategy, taxonomy design, and asset lifecycle management
  • Experience managing offshore or distributed teams
  • Strong project management and change management capabilities
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills across marketing, creative, tech, and data teams
  • Experience with modern AI visual and semantic search capabilities
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable improvements
  • Experience in enterprise, multinational, or agency environments (CPG, retail, or similar preferred)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with DAM migrations or large-scale implementations
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, OpenText, or similar
  • Experience working with PIM, CMS, or MRM systems
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and production workflows
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Information Science, or related field
  • U.S. work authorization required

Personal Attributes
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Strong leader with experience managing distributed teams and driving accountability
  • Confident communicator, comfortable in client-facing environments
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proactive and curious, with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation
