JOB DESCRIPTION

Join the Global Technology Planning and Analysis (GT P&A) team to support key strategic programs and provide financial oversight for the Global Technology organization’s ~68K+ resources and $19B+ spend. The GT P&A team is responsible for partnering across the firm to create a consolidated view of technology spend as well as provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting.
Our team is part of the Global Technology Finance & Business Management (GT F&BM) organization within Corporate Finance, and reports to the Global Technology CFO, with accountability to the Firmwide Head of P&A. We partner with multiple stakeholders including Line of Business (LOB) and Enterprise Technology (ET) CFO & P&A teams, Corporate and Firmwide P&A, as well as HR, Real Estate, GT Strategy and Vendor Management partners.

As an Associate on the Global Technology Planning and Analysis team, you will support key strategic programs and team deliverables for the Global Technology organization. You will be responsible for the full scope of technology expenses, where you will be expected to deliver value-added financial reporting and analysis to support and influence senior management decision making. You will work directly with LOB and P&A and expense leads as well as other teams within the Global Technology organization (e.g., Strategy, Portfolio Governance, Vendor mgt) to execute on key deliverables, agendas, and action items.Additionally, you will analyze, prepare, and reconcile accounting and financial data as well as prepare reports, while always thinking of process automation and improvement. You will also assist team members with special projects, as needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the team to provide accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis

  • Maintain oversight of the process to deliver month-end results, the forecast for the remainder of the year, and the budget for future years.

  • Partner with the various Tech F&BM teams to provide analytics and insight to technology expenses, risks & opportunities, run rate analysis and efficiency programs

  • Assist in producing executive presentations, analysis and supporting materials for key internal clients including senior management; support ad-hoc special projects and requests, as needed

  • Perform variance analysis to understand key drivers of the financial results and present commentary to senior management and line of business Tech CFOs explaining changes from prior forecasts/budgets

  • Manage completion of monthly corporate deliverables, including interaction with Firmwide P&A, Corporate P&A and Allocations teams to provide commentary and walk forwards of monthly expense trends, movements and risks

  • Consolidate and review of Global Technology taxonomy reporting and related project detail, ensuring the details captured in multiple sources support the overall messaging and plans at a business level

  • Enhance controls and streamline processes, introducing automation/models, where possible

  • Own continuous review of processes and ensure data integrity, with the goal of providing timely and accurate financial reporting and presentations

  • Drive efficiencies and process improvements and be involved in transformation processes

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting,Economics or IS (Information Systems)

  • 2+ years of work experience with relevant Financial Planning & Analysis experience

  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with data mining/gathering and manipulation of data sets

  • Proven ability to act independently with excellent decision-making skills

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, handling multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously, and able to complete work within timely deadlines with a sense of urgency

  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to analyze data and present conclusions concisely

  • Ability to build strong partnerships with colleagues, desire to learn quickly, be flexible and think strategically, and interface with all levels in the organization from senior management to process participants

  • Be inquisitive, critical thinker who anticipates questions from internal clients and senior management

  • Be a strong team player who is easy to work with, shows commitment and dedication, and can maintain both a positive attitude and high level of performance on high demand/time-sensitive initiatives

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Background in the technology environment is preferred but not required

  • Experience in Financial Services
