JOB DESCRIPTION

Join the Global Technology Chief Data & Analytics Office (GT CDAO) responsible for advancing the firm's data strategy across Global Technology and ensuring data is trusted, well-managed, appropriately governed, and positioned to support analytics, artificial intelligence, and business innovation.

As a Data Owner Lead, within the GT CDAO Team, you will partner with stakeholders across Technology, Risk, Controls, and CDAO to support effective data ownership through governance, operating model development and execution, maturity assessments, roadmap development, and performance reporting. This role is responsible for helping organizations assess current-state capabilities, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive measurable progress toward target-state data management outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary advisor for an aligned Technology Sub-LOB, providing strategic guidance and support to Data Owners and senior leadership.
  • Support the execution of data governance, risk management, compliance, and data management responsibilities through established frameworks, processes, tooling, and reporting.
  • Lead data management maturity assessments and partner with stakeholders to develop, execute, and monitor roadmaps that advance organizational capabilities and support business objectives.
  • Drive governance and operating model effectiveness by establishing clear roles, responsibilities, accountability, and engagement models across Data Owners and key supporting partners.
  • Deliver meaningful metrics, reporting, and insights that provide leadership with visibility into progress, risks, opportunities, and overall data management effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, Generative AI, and automation capabilities to improve the efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness of data management and governance practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous evolution of the GT CDAO through the enhancement of tools, processes, best practices, and service offerings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Technology, Data Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience in data governance, data management, risk management, business transformation, consulting, program management, or related disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, operating models, data risk management, data product, data quality, metadata management, and regulatory expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes across complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Experience leading strategic initiatives, organizational change efforts, or capability improvement programs and strong analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology tools to drive governance and operational outcomes, including advanced Excel, Visio, Alteryx, Power BI, and workflow management platforms. Experience developing dashboards, process documentation, metrics reporting, and executive-level presentations.
  • Experience conducting maturity assessments and developing strategic roadmaps to improve organizational capabilities.

     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale data strategy, governance, operating model, or transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of financial services regulatory, risk management, and control frameworks.
  • Experience leveraging AI, Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), agents, or automation technologies to improve and automate governance, reporting, risk management, or data management processes.
  • Familiarity with modern data governance, data architecture, data lake, metadata management, and data catalog platforms.
