Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in business development, partnerships, corporate development, or consulting within health, healthcare IT, life sciences, or digital health ecosystems.
  • 3 years of people management experience, including managing distributed, international, or cross-functional partnerships teams.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree, MBA, or advanced degree in an applicable field (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Public Health).
  • Understanding of the global healthcare landscape, with a network among regulatory bodies, digital health organizations, and major ecosystem players (governments, insurers, health systems).
  • Ability to navigate highly ambiguous environments, drive alignment across vertical product areas, and lead via influence without explicit profit and loss or commercial authority.

About the job

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.

As a Strategic Partnerships Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role on the global leadership team of Strategic Health Solutions. You will be responsible for representing major international and domestic healthcare ecosystem players including Governments, Health Insurers, Health Systems, Pharma, Lifesciences, and Digital Health within Google. You will ensure Google provides these partners with optimal products and services to drive health impact at scale.
In this role, you will lead a highly specialized team of Strategic Partnership Development Managers across EMEA and APAC and will act as a critical connector and translator, bridging the gap between external healthcare giants and internal cross-functional business, product, and leadership teams. You will be working across timezones with the ability to travel internationally and domestically up to 60% of the time. You will be a leader with deep familiarity and strong networks within the global health ecosystem, excellent partnership proficiency, and a strong commercial and solutioning mindset to scope high-impact collaborations.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $224000 - $312000 (USD) 25% bonus target equity benefits

  • Act as the primary strategic bridge between external healthcare executives and internal cross-functional teams, translating complex healthcare ecosystem needs into actionable opportunities for Google.
  • Lead complex cross-functional collaborations to drive forward-thinking approaches and build partnerships or proof-of-concept explorations where precedents may not exist.
  • Drive the entire partnership lifecycle-from initial landscape mapping and recruitment to co-innovation, alignment, and high-level market execution. Work with external healthcare stakeholders globally, spending ~50% of your time engaging directly with external partners.
