Full Job Description
Primary Objective

Support Finastra's sales force by navigating the customer journey through exceptional thought leadership and hands-on product know-how in the Payments space. We are looking for a high-energy individual with strong analytical and interpersonal skills. An ideal Solution Consultant exhibits a can-do approach in a consultative capacity, ensuring that our solutions and services meet and exceed our clients' needs.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements
  • Banking or Financial Technology experience strongly preferred, ideally in Payments product management, operations, and/or solution consultancy/presales
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including proven presentation skills
  • Robust problem-solving and decision making skills. Ability to work as an individual contributor, manage uncertainty, perform under stress, and accommodate a dynamic work environment
  • Self-starting abilities, including the ability to rapidly process complex information into actionable deliverables and proactively engage internal stakeholders for support as needed
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to make optimal split decisions in complex situations; work with clients, prospects, colleagues, and partners in a professional manner
  • Preference for proven track record of sales or technical sales support, including end-to-end presales lifecycle (demand generation, supporting RFX responses, Proof of Concept execution, commercial negotiations support, handoff to Delivery).
  • Proven ability to develop sales strategies (cross/up-sell, value selling) and effectively communicate recommendations to prospects, clients, and management
  • Solid technical background including understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point, Project), Salesforce.com, Web-based applications


Experience Required
  • 4-8 years working experience with banks, technology providers or consulting firms
  • 4+ years Financial Industry experience in Payments, familiarity with some/all US payments rails and the underlying payloads
  • Experience working on systems that process Fedwire, CHIPS, NACHA, EPN, SWIFT, TCH RTP and/or Zelle
  • Proven track record of accomplishments and initiatives with demonstrated, measurable success


Education Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience in Payments
