Job Description Summary
As one of the most transformative and visible Quality leaders in GEV, you will serve as the Quality Leader for one of the largest business lines in the company - Gas Power Global Services. You will be responsible for driving Quality outcomes for our customers and field services teams by leading a highly mature quality organization.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Lead the implementation of a cohesive customer and field quality vision – in line with GEV Zero-Defect Framework
    • Drive transformational initiatives to improve read across for regions, reliability for our product, customer responsiveness and reduction in cost of poor quality
    • Define and own enterprise quality goals, KPIs, action-plans and roadmaps
  • Customer Engagement:
    • Engage in largest customer issues and ensure RCAs and corrective actions are sufficient and deployed globally
    • Represent the business on quality matters with customers, regulators, and external partners
    • Partner with Customer Services Engineering and improve speed and quality of issue resolution, inclusive of enhanced technical support through advanced tools and AI
  • Internal Focus Areas:
    • Operationalize framework for early identification High Risk Defect to meet reduction targets for Customer Events and Days-Lost-Generation (DLG)
    • Support Successful Outage Score Improvement target for One Field Services, by avoiding repeat escapes that contribute to quality defects including – 1st attempt start-up failure, trips post start etc
    • Lead the deployment of new Customer Experience MOR for Global Services and drive improvement in the Customer Experience Score
    • Partner with ITR Region Leaders and OFS Region GMs, to develop and execute an action-plan to improve Glint survey score for Quality for the front-lines
    • Support the roll-out of “EXECUTE” Zero Defect Framework for One Field Services and partner cross-functionally to improvement the same for “WIN-DESIGN-BUY-BUILD”
  • Team Development:
    • Lead, develop, and inspire a multi-regional, highly mature quality organization
    • Coach direct staff towards executive readiness
    • Enhance the culture of breakthrough thinking and adoption of GEV lean operating method tools

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and 10 years’ experience in the Operations environment with strong business process understanding with proven track record of results using Quality and Lean methodologies OR High school diploma/GED and 20 years of experience in the Operations environment with strong business process understanding with proven track record of results using Quality & Lean methodologies
  • Expertise in structured problem solving methodologies (such as A3, 8D, PSR, TapRooT, Shainin etc) and familiarity with GEV Lean Operating Method tools (MOR, Hoshin, Roadmap, Daily Management and Kaizen)
  • Proven track record in leading global quality transformations (people, process and systems) and driving enterprise-level improvements to improve customer experience
  • Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain processes, with deeper experience in power generation and/or field service-based businesses
  • Experience supporting diverse customer bases and cross-functional teams across multiple regions, with high level of adaptability and resilience in managing complex, global challenges
  • Candidates outside US must have EU Work Permit

Responsabilidades Esenciales

  • Liderazgo Estratégico:

    • Liderar la implementación de una visión cohesiva de calidad para clientes y servicios de campo, alineada con el Marco de Cero Defectos de GEV.
    • Impulsar iniciativas transformacionales para mejorar la estandarización entre regiones, la confiabilidad de nuestros productos, la capacidad de respuesta al cliente y la reducción de los costos derivados de la mala calidad.
    • Definir y liderar los objetivos de calidad a nivel empresarial, los indicadores clave de desempeño (KPIs), los planes de acción y las hojas de ruta.
  • Relación con Clientes:

    • Participar en los problemas más importantes de los clientes y asegurar que los análisis de causa raíz (RCA) y las acciones correctivas sean adecuados y se implementen globalmente.
    • Representar al negocio en temas de calidad ante clientes, organismos reguladores y socios externos.
    • Colaborar con Customer Services Engineering para mejorar la velocidad y calidad de la resolución de problemas, incluyendo soporte técnico avanzado mediante herramientas avanzadas e inteligencia artificial.
  • Áreas de Enfoque Interno:

    • Operacionalizar un marco para la identificación temprana de Defectos de Alto Riesgo con el fin de alcanzar los objetivos de reducción de Eventos del Cliente y Días de Generación Perdida (DLG).
    • Apoyar el objetivo de mejora del índice Successful Outage Score para One Field Services, evitando reincidencias que contribuyan a defectos de calidad, incluyendo fallas en el arranque en el primer intento, interrupciones posteriores al arranque, entre otros.
    • Liderar la implementación del nuevo MOR de Experiencia del Cliente para Global Services e impulsar mejoras en el puntaje de Experiencia del Cliente.
    • Asociarse con los líderes regionales de ITR y los gerentes generales regionales de OFS para desarrollar y ejecutar un plan de acción que mejore la puntuación de calidad en las encuestas Glint de los equipos de primera línea.
    • Apoyar el despliegue del Marco de Cero Defectos “EXECUTE” para One Field Services y colaborar transversalmente para mejorar su aplicación en “WIN-DESIGN-BUY-BUILD”.
  • Desarrollo del Equipo:

    • Liderar, desarrollar e inspirar una organización de calidad altamente madura y con presencia en múltiples regiones.
    • Desarrollar y preparar a los colaboradores directos para posiciones de nivel ejecutivo.
    • Fortalecer una cultura de pensamiento innovador y la adopción de las herramientas del método Lean Operativo de GEV.

Calificaciones/Requisitos

  • Título universitario de una institución acreditada y 10 años de experiencia en entornos de Operaciones, con sólido entendimiento de procesos de negocio y un historial comprobado de resultados utilizando metodologías de Calidad y Lean; o diploma de escuela secundaria/GED y 20 años de experiencia en entornos de Operaciones, con sólido entendimiento de procesos de negocio y un historial comprobado de resultados utilizando metodologías de Calidad y Lean.
  • Experiencia avanzada en metodologías estructuradas de resolución de problemas (como A3, 8D, PSR, TapRooT, Shainin, entre otras) y familiaridad con las herramientas del Método Lean Operativo de GEV (MOR, Hoshin, Roadmap, Gestión Diaria y Kaizen).
  • Historial comprobado liderando transformaciones globales de calidad (personas, procesos y sistemas) e impulsando mejoras a nivel empresarial para optimizar la experiencia del cliente.
