About the opportunityIn this role, you drive lifecycle management for QIAGEN's PCR and Nucleic Acid Amplification franchise, shaping the success of multiple on-market products across their full lifecycle. Operating at the intersection of market needs, technology evolution, operational execution, and customer experience, you define and execute multi-generation portfolio strategies that ensure business continuity and sustainable growth. Close collaboration with customers, key opinion leaders, and cross-functional global teams enables you to translate insights into impactful application data, clear positioning, and effective omnichannel marketing execution.
Your tasks include- Own the end-to-end lifecycle management of selected PCR products, ensuring strong on-market performance, customer support, and growth.
- Define and lead end-of-life and portfolio transition strategies based on data-driven, cross-functional analysis.
- Monitor and communicate portfolio KPIs, including growth, risk, backorders, operational constraints, and support burden, to senior stakeholders.
- Act as a customer advocate by engaging key customers and segments to validate product-market fit and gather voice-of-customer insights.
- Partner with marketing to refine product positioning, messaging, and application-specific collateral across channels.
- Collaborate closely with regional commercial teams to ensure commercial readiness and visibility into business performance.
- Provide ongoing product and portfolio support to sales and customer support organizations globally.
Your profile- Bachelor's degree with 4-5 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years, PhD, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong background in molecular biology with hands-on expertise in endpoint PCR, real-time PCR, and direct PCR techniques.
- Experience in product management; candidates from adjacent commercial roles (sales, field applications, marketing) are encouraged to apply.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical, business, and customer narratives into clear, compelling communication.
- Experience managing molecular consumables portfolios within a matrixed global organization is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a pragmatic, business-driven mindset.
- Willingness to travel globally up to approximately 25%.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $135,000. Compensation will be based on the candidate's experience, skills, geographic location, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes an annual bonus and generous benefits.
