What you'll be doing

As a member of the Global Markets team, you'll be delivering innovative banking and investment solutions to CIBC's retail, wealth and business clients including corporates, governments and institutional clients around the world. Our Global Markets business comprises our sales, trading, structuring and research teams spanning cash and derivative products in foreign exchange, commodities, rates and equities in addition to securitization, prime brokerage, money markets and more. You'll be supporting our FICC Strategy and Electronic Trading teams.

The expected annualized base salary for this role is $125,000.

The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.

How you'll succeed

• Passion for financial markets - Demonstrate strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills, with keen interest in the financial markets and proven record of academic success, teamwork and extracurricular involvement.

• Process oriented - Present detailed analysis, financial modeling, structuring, and research to support senior professionals and help to identify opportunities to win business, execute transactions, automate existing processes and develop new businesses.

• Communication - Partner with your team to make an impact by applying a technical skillset to help generate insights and/or optimize processes. Showcase highly effective written, oral, and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts.

• Relationship management - Provide excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to contribute to high-performance teams and a demonstrated commitment to acting with integrity.

• You have demonstrated interest in Capital Markets. You arehighly motivated, accomplished, and a success-oriented individual who has a keen interest in pursuing a career in the financial services industry demonstrated through school courses, clubs, and/or related work experience.

• It's an asset if you have knowledge of programming languages such as VBA and Python.
