Full Job Description

Introduction to role:

Are you ready to turn complex market signals into clear strategy that shapes a high-impact global launch? This role leads the insight engine behind our efforts in IgA nephropathy, transforming patient, customer, market and competitor evidence into decisions that matter for patients and the business.

Based in Boston at Director level, you will be the trusted insight partner for global and country teams, connecting Commercial, Medical, R&D, Analytics and Forecasting. How will you bring the voice of patients and healthcare professionals into pivotal brand and launch choices—and turn ambiguity into action that accelerates performance?

Accountabilities:

  • Insight Strategy and Prioritization: Partner with cross-functional teams, especially marketing, to shape and focus the IgAN insight plan on the highest-value business questions.

  • Primary Research Leadership: Design and lead qualitative and quantitative studies end-to-end—from methodology and vendor selection to synthesis and recommendations—integrating AI to improve cost, speed and depth of insight.

  • Evidence Triangulation: Combine primary research with secondary data, market performance, competitive intelligence and disease-area evidence to strengthen confidence in conclusions.

  • Storytelling and Decision Influence: Translate findings into a simple, compelling narrative—what we learned, why it matters, and what we should do next—so teams act with clarity.

  • Patient and HCP Voice: Embed patient, healthcare professional and stakeholder perspectives into brand strategy, global launch planning and execution.

  • Vendor, Budget and Timeline Management: Oversee agencies, manage budgets and ensure delivery to plan while maintaining quality and compliance.

  • Cross-Functional Connection: Serve as a connector across Global, US and other country teams, aligning insights and driving cohesive, evidence-backed decisions.

  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all research activities meet company policies and industry standards.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare market research, insights, strategy or analytics, gained in pharma, biotech, consulting or an insights agency.

  • Practical command of primary research and the ability to combine qualitative and quantitative evidence.

  • Strategic judgement, intellectual curiosity and the confidence to challenge constructively.

  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills, including with senior and cross-functional audiences.

  • A hands-on, adaptable working style and comfort operating in a fast-moving global matrix.

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, marketing or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Fluent written and spoken English; ability to travel internationally as business needs require.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in nephrology, rare disease, global launches or multiple geographies.

  • Advanced degree.

  • Background spanning industry, consulting or an insights agency, with expertise built through market research, commercial strategy, analytics or customer insights.

  • Ability to learn scientific domains quickly and convert ambiguity into actionable insight.
