Position Summary

The Global Logistics Manager at TARGAN is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of global logistics operations. This role ensures that complex equipment, components, consumables, and service-related shipments move efficiently, compliantly, and reliably across domestic and international supply chains. This position will manage all logistics partner relationships including carriers, customs brokers, and 3PL warehouses.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute global logistics strategies that support TARGAN's commercial growth, manufacturing operations, field installations, customer support, and international expansion.
  • Manage inbound and outbound transportation for capital equipment, machine components, spare parts, consumables, demonstration units, and service materials across domestic and international lanes.
  • Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, crating providers, third-party logistics providers, and specialized equipment handlers.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs documentation, Incoterms, tariff classification, country-specific requirements, and any applicable regulatory or quality requirements for animal health and technology-related shipments.
  • Partner closely with supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, engineering, quality, field service, commercial, finance, and customer success teams to align logistics execution with customer and operational priorities.
  • Monitor logistics KPIs, including on-time delivery, freight cost, transit time, customs clearance performance, carrier performance, shipment accuracy, damage claims, and service responsiveness.
  • Establish scalable logistics processes, standard work, dashboards, and controls to improve shipment visibility, reduce risk, and support repeatable global deployment of TARGAN systems.
  • Resolve logistics disruptions, including shipment delays, customs holds, documentation issues, damage claims, urgent spare-part needs, and customer-critical service requirements.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a relevant field such as; Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations, International Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in international shipping, specifically importing and exporting in Latin American, Oceania, and Asia.
  • Experience managing international shipments, customs brokerage, freight forwarders, specialized freight, crating, and carrier relationships.
  • Strong understanding of import/export documentation, Incoterms, customs clearance, tariff classification, trade compliance requirements, and international shipment controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to support logistics for complex equipment, engineered products, spare parts, service materials, or technology-based systems.
  • Ability to analyze freight costs, logistics performance data, service metrics, and operational trends to drive improvement.
  • Proficiency with ERP, TMS, WMS, and/or freight management systems
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with global customers, suppliers, service providers, and internal stakeholders across multiple time zones.
  • Experience managing 3PL warehouses

Working Conditions:

Work is performed inside a flex space building consisting of offices, open desk space, laboratory, machine shop, and a manufacturing floor. Level of noise is usually quiet in the office environment and temperature controlled. Noise levels are elevated in the warehouse space where temperatures can vary depending on the outside elements and weather. Travel up to 10% of time may be required.
