Position: Global Information Technology Manager - CBS

Location: Valley Green, PA or Nashua, NH

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and are currently seeking a Global IT Manager to join our Cable Backplane Systems team located in Valley Green, PA or Nashua, NH.

High speed cable backplane systems enable most of the world's IT and datacom; including leading the way for the AI/ML revolution; and require some of the most advanced manufacturing technologies, and highest levels of precision, in the engineering world. These challenges require the most creative, technical minds, and ultimately provide the most rewarding experience for an employee.

The IT Manager is responsible for building and overseeing the IT department's operations, focusing on AI-driven automation, programming, cybersecurity, facility digitization, and data administration. The individual will lead initiatives to integrate cutting-edge technology, align IT strategies with business goals, and ensure scalable, secure, and efficient IT processes. This position will maintain operational integrity while promoting technological innovation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • AI and Automation Leadership:
    • Spearhead AI adoption to enhance predictive analytics, process optimization, and real-time decision-making.
    • Develop and implement machine learning solutions to improve production accuracy, forecast demand, and reduce operational waste.
    • Leverage robotic process automation (RPA) to automate repetitive IT and business processes, increasing efficiency and reducing human error.
  • Cybersecurity and Data Governance:
    • Implement AI-based threat detection systems to safeguard sensitive data and intellectual property.
    • Develop comprehensive compliance protocols leveraging automation tools
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to address evolving threats.
    • Manage end-to-end cybersecurity programs, including vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and incident response plans.
    • Introduce zero-trust architecture, ensuring controlled access and robust authentication mechanisms across all systems.
    • Establish a Security Operations Center (SOC) to monitor, detect, and respond to threats in real time.
    • Establish a secure environment for data transmission and storage, utilizing blockchain technology for enhanced transparency and security.
  • Factory Digitization and MES Integration:
    • Deploy AI-powered MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) with capabilities for dynamic scheduling, predictive maintenance, and real-time production monitoring.
    • Integrate MES with IoT devices and ERP systems to enable end-to-end visibility of operations.
    • Use digital twins for virtual modeling and simulation of production environments to identify inefficiencies and optimize workflows.
  • Cloud Transition:
    • Lead the migration to Cloud, ensuring optimal utilization of cloud-native services for data analytics, machine learning, and scalability.
    • Design a robust multi-cloud strategy to ensure flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and resilience.
  • Compliance Management:
    • Oversee adherence to ITAR, NIST, GDPR, and other regulatory frameworks.
    • Utilize tools like Splunk, Tenable.io, and ServiceNow GRC to automate compliance tracking, auditing, and reporting.
    • Implement automated workflows for documenting and managing incidents to streamline regulatory adherence processes.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning:
    • Build disaster recovery playbooks and conduct scenario-based drills to test organizational resilience.
    • Implement automated backups for multi-site recovery within minutes of downtime.
    • Collaborate within business unit to create a prioritized recovery roadmap, ensuring minimal impact during disruptions.
  • ITSM Excellence:
    • Oversee ITIL-compliant service delivery processes, ensuring streamlined incident, change, and problem management.
    • Utilize ServiceNow to automate IT service workflows, monitor SLAs, and enhance user satisfaction.
    • Develop a centralized IT service catalog to improve resource allocation and transparency.
  • High-Performance Infrastructure:
    • Deploy high-availability clusters to ensure 24/7 operations with minimal downtime.
    • Leverage SD-WAN and edge computing for enhanced connectivity, performance, and operational efficiency.
    • Implement hybrid storage solutions combining on-premises and cloud capabilities to optimize cost and speed.
  • Advanced ERP Management:
    • Lead ERP integrations with MES, CRM, and SCM platforms, ensuring end-to-end supply chain visibility.
    • Develop customized ERP modules to align with unique manufacturing and customer needs.
    • Implement AI-driven insights for forecasting, inventory optimization, and financial reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems or other related degree is required. An advanced degree would be a plus.
  • At least 15 years of overall IT experience with a strong emphasis on technology and information systems required.
  • IT experience in a manufacturing setting required.
  • Must have ERP experience.
  • Project management skills required. Project Management Professional certification a plus. Ability to lead projects to successful completion on time and within budget required.
  • Previous managerial experience required.
  • Cybersecurity experience or certification a plus
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail required.
  • Driven by optimizing technologies and personnel to leverage core business strengths while retaining a bottom-line focus
  • Background in VMware, EDI, SQL, .NET, Virtualization, CISCO Networking, Microsoft SQL Servers
  • Working knowledge of ITAR, NIST and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, preferred
  • Advanced certifications in AI/ML or cloud technologies (preferred).
  • Proven track record in AI/automation implementation in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with digital transformation projects across multi-site operations.
