Description

The Executive Director, Studio Operations is the operational backbone of Future Studios and the chief of staff for the studio system. This leader owns studio operations, resourcing, traffic, budget partnership with Finance, utilization reporting, the studio operating rhythm and the cross functional interface with Legal, Compliance, Licensing, Rights, Brand Leads and Heads of Video. The role administers the studio's meeting cadence and converts strategy into throughput.

What You'll Do

You will report into the SVP, Future Creative
  • Own the global production operations system: intake, tiering, scheduling, resourcing and capacity management across US and UK hubs.
  • Lead Production Management as function head: the Director, Production Management (US), the Senior Production Manager (UK) and their teams.
  • Run studio budgeting standards, cost tracking and utilization reporting; partner with Finance on the studio P&L.
  • Administer the studio operating rhythm: Studios Leadership Team secretary, production status, monthly business reviews and the quarterly OKR reset.
  • Own the freelance and vendor network including rate cards, framework agreements, the freelance convertible pathway and quality management.
  • Manage the cross functional interface: triage Legal, Compliance, Licensing and Rights items for productions in both regions.
  • Manage studio facilities, kit, edit infrastructure and the production technology roadmap including DAM and AI workflow enablement.
  • Own risk, safety, insurance and compliance across productions in both regions.
  • Continuously improve unit economics: cost per asset, turnaround time and first pass quality.


What You'll Bring
  • 10+ years in production operations or production management at a studio, publisher, agency or streamer, with 4+ years at director level or above.
  • Experience running operations across multiple markets or hubs, ideally US and UK.
  • Deep command of budgeting, scheduling, resourcing tools and production finance.
  • Track record standing up or transforming intake and capacity systems at scale.
  • Vendor and facilities management experience including negotiation of framework rates.
  • Calm, systems minded leadership under high volume delivery pressure.

The expected range for this role is $151,000 - $175,000. This is a hybrid role, working 3 days from the New York office.
