Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of assigned technology and business projects, ensuring they meet cost, schedule, and scope requirements.
  • Lead project teams through the entire project lifecycle while ensuring collaboration among global stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, defining necessary methods and resources to achieve goals.
  • Facilitate meetings for problem-solving and decision-making, while encouraging diverse perspectives.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management, effectively gaining approval for proposed solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including overseeing costs, quality, and timelines of vendor deliverables.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate potential project risks and issues.

Full Job Description
Job Summary:

Plans, leads, monitors and coordinates activities related to technology and business projects and programs. Manages projects or assigned projects subcomponents to ensure cost, schedule, scope and deliverable requirements are met. Interfaces and communicates progress of projects.

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Using project management principals, theories, techniques and tools, manages time, cost, schedules, quality, procurement, communication, and risk.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of assigned project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget. Provides leadership of project team members throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Determines methods and resources needed to achieve project goals, and develops and maintains a detailed work (project) plan.
  • Coordinates activities and works collaboratively with all stakeholders across global departments.
  • Facilitates meetings to discuss issues and implementation strategies and solicit alternative points of view. Facilitates problem-solving; and decision-making.
  • Formulates conclusions, recommendations and develops options. Effectively presents and justifies findings and recommendations to management and customers, as appropriate, to gain approval.
  • May manage projects and programs that cross multiple departments/regions throughout the company.
  • May manage vendor relationships and serve as a liaison between vendors and project team members and leadership. May manage vendors including cost, quality, and schedules.
  • Identifies, manages and mitigates issues and risks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Mastery knowledge of industry best practices and disciplines. Considered a subject matter expert within the organization and contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards.
  • Develops solutions to highly complex and uniquely challenging situations. Assignments require extensive evaluation of alternatives and variables. Expected to make improvements to policies and procedures.
  • Works independently toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated using independent judgment and discretion. May act as informal team lead and/or coach less experienced team members.
  • Serves as consultant to management and/or internal/external spokesperson for the organization on major initiatives related to policies, plans and long-range objectives.
  • Ability to engage and influence at all levels of the global organization.


Work Experience:
  • Typically 8+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.


Education and Certification(s):
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.


Distinguishing Characteristics:
  • Works on more large scale, complex, high risk projects including GIS projects
