Global Category Manager - Indirect who will work out of our corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA. and is committed to ensuring overall business success and corporate governance. Responsibilities - Lead the development and execution of global category strategies based on market intelligence, business needs, and supplier capabilities
- Conduct detailed spend analysis, supply market assessments, and risk evaluations to provide best source of supply based on holistic review of supply options
- Responsibility for supplier selection using robust evaluation and selection process to provide best total cost of supply to our facilities and enabling optimal service to our end customers
- Lead complex negotiations to secure optimal commercial terms, service levels, and innovation opportunities
- Accountable for supplier performance against various performance measures including quality, total cost, delivery and responsiveness
- Providing escalation route for non-strategic suppliers through the wider procurement teams
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure alignment of sourcing strategies to support our customers
- Facilitate cross-functional sourcing teams and lead strategic sourcing events from RFI through to implementation
- Oversee contract development, execution, and lifecycle management
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Track and report monthly on category performance metrics including cost savings, supplier performance, and risk mitigation
Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- At least 10 years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience, preferably in a global environment.
- Proven success in category management, supplier negotiations, and cross-functional leadership.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Experience with sourcing tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa).
