Location: USA - Itasca, N Arlington Heights Rd Division: Air & Sea Job Posting Title: Global Account Director, Healthcare Time Type: Full Time The Global Account Director, Healthcare Vertical is a senior position, that develops and maintains business for significant global Healthcare accounts. The primary focus of the role is on selling / improving logistics solutions, including road, freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, and other value-added services. This role is integral in establishing and maintaining long-term strategic relationships that typically go beyond the sale of a single point solution. This position requires a high degree of analytical skills and industry knowledge to unlock hidden value that may not be readily identifiable to our clients. Duties & Responsibilities • Develop and execute a comprehensive account plan aimed at maintaining existing business and identifying the top opportunities. • Managing named global Healthcare accounts, in accordance with agreed financial and performance targets based on DSV processes. • Developing solutions for the named global customers; leveraging DSV vertical structure and competencies into innovative developments • Work closely with operations to deliver high level of service to customers • Identify and develop relationships with key decision makers at all levels within an account • Understand the customer's buying process • Understand the customer's business (strategically, operationally, & financially) • Work closely with customers to intimately understand their needs • Work across all divisions within DSV to create custom solutions that deliver value to customers • Maintain an open dialogue with the account executive sponsor and keep the sponsor engaged in the account What You Bring Global Healthcare & Industry Expertise • Proven experience working with global healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device, life sciences, or related organizations, with a strong understanding of their unique supply chain, regulatory, operational, and commercial requirements. • Deep understanding of complex global supply chains and the ability to identify opportunities across road, freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, and value-added services. • Ability to understand a customer's business from a strategic, operational, financial, and commercial perspective and translate that knowledge into logistics solutions that create measurable value. • Strong understanding of industry trends, customer challenges, and emerging opportunities within the global healthcare sector. Strategic Sales & Business Development • Proven success in complex B2B sales, strategic account development, and value-based selling within large global or multinational organizations. • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic account plans that drive revenue growth, retention, profitability, and share of wallet. • Experience identifying and converting complex, high-value opportunities into long-term customer relationships. • Strong consultative selling skills, with the ability to uncover customer needs and develop integrated, multi-modal logistics solutions. • Proven ability to lead complex sales pursuits and coordinate resources across multiple functions, countries, and business units. • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to lead high-impact commercial discussions. Executive & Customer Relationship Management • Proven ability to establish trusted, strategic relationships with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers within global organizations. • Ability to navigate complex customer organizations, understand buying processes, and build relationships across multiple levels and functions. • Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage senior leaders across cultures and geographies. • Ability to translate complex logistics and supply chain challenges into clear business outcomes, financial value, and compelling customer solutions. • Strong customer orientation with a genuine commitment to developing long-term strategic partnerships.
