This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.
What YOU will do:
- Develop, design and conclude experiments to accelerate business capabilities in Generative AI for safety-critical development.
- Identify, evaluate, and promote emerging AI technologies and their potential applications across the business.
- Define and implement disruptive development process improvements that accelerate product and solution delivery cycle times.
- Develop strategies that reduce total lifecycle costs through improved engineering practices and streamlined processes.
- Drive initiatives to minimize technical debt and improve long-term maintainability of products and solutions.
- Establish and promote reusable frameworks, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and consistency across programs.
- Collaborate across organizations to identify opportunities for innovation and scalable adoption of new capabilities.

Qualifications you must have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English across all levels of an organization (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- 5+ years of software development experience, including delivery of complex, production-grade systems
- Advanced proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and Python development
- Full stack development experience (frontend, backend, APIs) with at least 2+ end-to-end applications delivered
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, and deploying scalable systems in production
- Proven ability to present technical concepts clearly to large or cross-functional audiences
- Working knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals with hands-on application in projects or research
- Experience developing and deploying Generative AI applications in a production or pilot environment
- Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Haystack) in at least one implemented use case
