Position Summary

Resurrection Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our General Surgery team. The APP will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with attending surgeons, residents, and multidisciplinary providers. This role covers inpatient and outpatient settings and includes surgical assisting, perioperative management, consults, and follow-up care.

Responsibilities

Clinical Care
• Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care to general surgery patients.
• Conduct inpatient rounds, perform focused history and physical examinations, document progress notes, and develop care plans in collaboration with the surgical team.
• Perform bedside procedures within scope of practice (e.g., suture removal, drain management, wound care).
• Assist surgeons in the operating room as needed, including first assisting.
• Manage patient flow in surgical clinics, including evaluation, follow-up, test review, and coordination of care.
• Respond to inpatient consults in a timely manner and provide initial assessment with attending-to-attending communication.

• Full-time salary range: $110,000-$130,000, based on experience.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
