General Superintendent - Miscellaneous Metals

Location: Virginia
Travel: Regional travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic required
Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Compensation: Starting around $90,000 annually, with flexibility based on experience and qualifications
Overview

We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to lead field operations for miscellaneous metals projects across the Mid-Atlantic region. This role is responsible for overseeing installation teams, ensuring safety compliance, coordinating resources, and driving successful project execution in a fast-paced construction environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and support site foremen and field teams on miscellaneous metals installations
  • Promote a strong safety culture through training, enforcement, and regular safety meetings
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and job-specific requirements
  • Coordinate labor schedules, materials, and equipment for multiple job sites
  • Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to align on project goals and timelines
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates
  • Support installation activities including stairs, handrails, structural components, rigging, and finish work
  • Apply quality standards throughout planning and execution phases
  • Forecast labor needs and assist with staffing coordination
