General Sales Manager (Automotive)
Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Sales Manager to lead our automotive sales team and drive dealership performance. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with a strong track record in automotive sales management, team development, customer satisfaction, and profitability. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the sales department, including new and pre-owned vehicle sales, sales processes, inventory management, performance coaching, and achieving revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed sales objectives.
  • Manage daily operations of the sales department, ensuring efficiency and adherence to dealership standards.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate sales managers and sales consultants.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, establish goals, and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Finance & Insurance (F&I) department to optimize customer experience and dealership revenue.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and inventory levels to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and address escalated customer concerns when necessary.
